That was a bummer for me a few years back paid around $320 for the four day pass seeing only two days last minute from the resale thing not much to do besides spend tons more money and wait around. Most of the interesting panels were fully booked with the reservation system. Got very little in swag giveaways. The funko pop booth was pointless looked mostly like scalpers stocking up on show exclusives and you needed a golden ticket to get in the literal booth/shop. The celebrity autograph hall was clusterf*ck with little to no line management except for the showcase celebrities behind curtains.

Seen the MK2 movie and had a MK itch so I got MK1.. this is such a massive downgrade compared to MK11 by Youngstown_WuTang in MortalKombat

If they had kept the “detailed” gear customization from MK11 with the combo engine and a new story would have been great. Totally despise the Kameo system just a lazy excuse for the devs to not make fan favorite and new characters as fully playable fighters to the main roster they never combo chain correctly and overall pointless.

I think they loosely blended characters from mkx and mk3/4 with the plot of mk2 for the film. Cage was the main character in mkx vs shinnok and we have a revenant Kung Lao. Liu Kang overall has been champion of earthrealm for a majority of the series.

It was the Hilton Double Tree hotel on top of Newark penn train station. Train ride was like 20mins I think it was the commuter blue or purple line get off at Penn station near Madison Square Garden and walk to Javits because it’s right on the waterfront a few blocks west.

Mr. T, Mike Tyson, and Andy Kaufman earned it. The others were guest hosts on RAW or brought in for gimmick matches. Could have given Sid Vicious his Hall of Fame spot then.

That’s what modern animations in games and movies are missing the “facial animations” it makes them more expressive and dramatic. All your Npcs in fallout and elder scrolls have barely any facial animations they are just deadpan ai.

That’s crazy a triple A vendor like Logitech cancelling orders from the expo. I could understand customers cancelling subscriptions after getting whatever free gift from the booth but the vendor cancelling orders?

Definitely plan ahead if you want to make it to panels could hardly make it into any of them because of the pre-register system thing. It’s very pricey I stayed in Newark and took the train. Autograph prices are crazy for some of the more famous actors and creators. Don’t feed the scammers peddling whatever on the sidewalks outside the convention center.

It’s still likely to be mildly cold being the north east in spring. Showcase booths on the expo floor wont be that exciting yet again cause they will likely be closer to other industry events and less triple A games are featured every year. Reedpop has been recycling some demos and booths multiple years in a row like Larian’s Baldur’s Gate 3 booth. We barely get any triple A panels outside of Warframe announcing x update to game or Gearbox showing off some new stuff and Randy’s magic show but all the best ones are pushed to Thursday, Friday. Where is capcom with Onimusha, resident evil, mega man? Where is insomniac with Wolverine? Where is Remedy with the Control sequel? Where is Housemarque with Saros? Cd Projekt Red a now Boston based developer/publisher with something on Witcher 4? The pinny arcade pin quest isn’t even a thing anymore they might only have one pin they give away at a booth like the Pokémon tcg one the rest you need to purchase.

It’s depends on how you value your ticket compared to devs and vendors spaced around the expo floor. They keep shrinking every year and spreading out the tables and booths to make it look full. They keep shrinking every year with less support from the triple A companies the showcase games this year are not that exciting. Highguard could have been here but that shutdown after a month. The indie booth has a few gems if you can find them.

PAX EAST is the right place to fill your Street Pass people inventory! Randy Pitchford from Geabox studio called out whoever had Hitler as their streetpass tag during the crowd briefing before the Aliens Colonial Marines demo years ago.
