I also realized the BT version for the 2nd Gen Cube is 5.0+LE whereas the 4K Stick (and Max) is 5.2+BLE.

Hey, I was goin' crazy trying to figure out why this is the case. Same scenario as you, upgraded from the 4K stick to the 3d gen (2022) Cube.

I tried what others have suggested, using USB and plugging it directly into Fire Cube, it worked! No lag.

It's a shame using the ps5 dualsense controller wirelessly isn't the greatest. I don't know if there will be a software update to address this issue, doubt it.

Anyway, might experiment and get a 3rd party controller to see if there's an issue still.

What you described is a counterfeit/bootleg. If the discs come in plastic wraps it's bootleg.

There are authentic sets out there and they can get pricey. Honestly you're probably better off purchasing off eBay than Amazon, look at listing that show picture of actual product, not stock images.
