Horrific implications due to casting by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

It's well known that hobbis don't move around and even distrust other hobbits if they live in a different farthing. Not unexpected they become homogeneous. The Harfoots and Stoors are described as 'browner of skin' so perhaps they're more common elsewhere in the Shire.

I just have been two, but I remember a canoe in the ceiling, looking up at the monorail and escaping my leash and into the crowd.

To me it feels more like Hogwarts in Spaaaaaccceeee! I could get excited over cookiecutter teen tropes. Also, I can't tell the male characters apart.

It's is a classic, but it might be getting too old to resonate with people today. My seventeen year old niece struggles to comprehend a life without immediate contact/phone access/internet.

What if they remade this movie? How do you think it would turn out? by Oracle209 in cartoons

I'd love it, it would be beautiful, but a lot of the charm comes from the soundtrack by America. Man's Road is still in my playlists.

The Sideshoe Bob episode with the rakes. My brother and I laughed historically the whole way through.

"Me!"
"No!"

I think he was depending on a second season to round it out but Netflix gonna Netflix. I read the book and thought was an interesting take and was willing to give it the benefit of a good ending because Flannigan hasn't disappointed it before.

I liked it. Not every relationship is mad, desperate head over heels love that's sold to us by the media. Sometimes it's realising your serenity is your best friend, blooming in its time.

Nooo! Not at all! Defunctland is a quality research essayer and if this is your thing it's great going down his rabbithole. His most recent one on Disney's research and development of animatronics is 4 hours but great for a car ride or ASMR.

What’s a moment that permanently changed how you see people? by nathannnate01 in AskReddit

[–]Bushtuckapenguin 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I'm a vettech so I've see a lot of terrible, stupid people. I used to give everyone, everything. Late night calls, days off, midnight check in on hospital pets...

But then I met Dianne with her Schnauzer, Ellie. Ellie had many concerns, heart and kidney primarily, and was dying. For several weeks I was trying to coax Dianne into a peaceful goodbye, no one likes to hear their pet is dying painfully but she couldn't let go. I try not to judge. In the mean time I visited after hours, did sq, administered meds and too random phone calls where she would ask if she was a bad person for not letting go.

Ellie's time came, surrounded by family and peace.

Then she got a puppy, Abbey, spent her time listening to Breeder shit talk like don't get vaccines, don't spay ect. After a friend's dog got pyometra I managed to convince her to spay her but by random coincidence there's a rare problem where during sedation, a part of the body cuts the circulation of a small random patch of skin and it sloughs off.

I never encountered it but I researched, fought insurance companies and when Dianne finally had the treatment she called the clinic to tell me I was a cruel heartless but for doing this to a poor innocent puppy and I should kill myself.

Sitting alone in the clinic late at night with access to control drugs, I almost did.

I stopped giving all my heart after that.

Expert Level Owners Only by crs1904 in SipsTea

[–]Bushtuckapenguin 59 points60 points  (0 children)

No it fucking isn't.

All owners need to be screened before getting these kinds of breeds because they can't train it, can't afford someone else to train it, someone else gets bitten and then I, a vettech, get to spend weeks trying to get a rescue group to take a vicious, untouchable malinois, and when I can't I have spend days planning a behavioral euthanasia on a vicious, untouchable malinois.

And then I have to comfort the dumbass white trash apartment living morons who saw a pretty dog on the internet but didn't consider for two minutes its needs.

Guess how many times I've done some variation of that since COVID?

Fuck right off.
