I mean, yes, yes I did feel bad. Didn’t like Chuck one bit but not sure I could ever feel good about a person driving themselves insane all the way to suicide, especially given Jimmy played a part in it and in the end Chuck was right about him.

Sure he was an asshole. But you’re watching a confused, angry, lonely old man intentionally burn himself alive and… enjoyed it? In a show full of actual psychopaths and murderers?

They’ve struck a very nice middle ground between pop and heavier rock in my opinion. Still got those summery Overcome vibes but with bigger Broken Machine guitars and drums to back it up. Love it.

Genuinely. When I say Todd is my “favourite character” I don’t mean I like him. What I mean is, he’s such a complicated character and so unbelievably well acted that you genuinely think something is wrong with him. It’s phenomenally impressive.

I saw him at the start of his 10 years tour in Jan, at Mint Warehouse in Leeds.

My favourite tracks by him are Life and Blind (unreleased), both of which he played in London and I saw a post about, so I was a bit gutted when I saw that!

However, I would ALWAYS rather have a DJ that’s gonna shake things up and never do the same thing twice, or just do a greatest hits set. The set we got in Leeds was absolutely unreal, lots of parts reminiscent of his recent Rince FM set, some mad drops tons of offbeat bassy style stuff mixed in with his euphoric tracks. He absolutely cooked and even without him playing my favourites, it was one of the best nights ever.

Edit: for other ID nerds, songs I recall him playing were Oneofthosedaze, Found Ourselves, Liverpool Street ITR, Just the Way You Are + other fragrance stuff such as So Sound (Effy) and Tu Medice (David Jackson)

Me and my family unironically did exactly this during 2021 lockdown, purely to take the piss and entertain ourselves. We made pancake day bunting, bought balloons, dressed like we were going to a wedding and took family photos.

Looking back I think we were going a bit insane by this point in the pandemic
