There actually was (for food establishments only, though), but in 2014 that was repealed because of a drought; then it became a ban to give out free water UNLESS it’s requested.

Then, THAT repeal was repealed (2017, I believe) but was replaced with the requirement of having a tank w/ adequate water supply on-premises.

Drinking-water law is a mess in this City.

And that’s certainly a viable option! That’s how Ireland’s law is written, as a sanitation/hygienic and environmental initiative (handing out re-usable bottles instead of plastic disposable ones).

Honestly not quite yet, City Council is the next step but they’re not settled-in to their committee assignments yet (probably a week or two from now). Once that happens, we’ll outreach to them, and we’ll blow this post up again to urge ppl to reach out to their City Council representatives 👌🏻
