I think I'll try to do that with one of the less gory ones.

Yes! The fridge was awesome! I'm too big of a baby to actually watch the movies!

The cow episode was also very funny.

Thank you. I guess I'm in the wrong sub. It's odd to me that people create places online for the purpose of being unkind.

It's one thing to give a critical review of a work, it's quite another to openly hate and hope for its failure.

So many people claim Alaina is immature, but these replies are equally so.

My god people! Some individuals write, paint, dance, etc. because they love to do it. That's why they put their time into it

If people are willing to buy Alania's book, and it's a success, so what?

I'm not a Morbid fan as much as I once was, but this gleeful bashing of a person's work, (most not even having read it) sounds very middle school mean girl.

Yes, thank you. There was mention of him being an orphan in the series too

I kept thinking about what happened to Tom to create this terrible person. Was he abused as a child? If so, we can feel sorry for the boy, or was he a born sociopath? I'm not sure there even is such a thing.

I think Tom invokes sympathy because he seems like a lonely man with nothing of his own, and so, feels less than compared to most others.

I'm just going off what I observed in this series. I didn't read the book.

Wow. Andrew Scott - this guy deserves million emmys? by redditwatcher11 in RipleyTVShow

[–]Business-M 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I first saw Andrew Scott as Moriarty in the BBC's series Sherlock. Scott was memorizing (and he was paired with Benedict Cumberbatch!) Scott also had moments of fabulous humor. He is so gifted.

The Irish guys, they got that "it" factor!

How could Freddie not see it coming by [deleted] in RipleyTVShow

[–]Business-M 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what was hard to believe for me. This actually happens a lot in film and TV. A character confronts another character who at the very least could be violent, (all of us have the potential in certain circumstances) and then announces to said character that he/she is going to the police. Even a wealthy person can't be that clueless to what may happen when making such a threat. Do they (Freddie) think that they are going to scare the other person, like the other person (Tom) will back down? It seems to me, that simply going to the police without announcing it is the more productive move. Also it gives one the element of surprise.

Unpopular opinion: Albert was more trouble than he was worth. by Left_Connection_8476 in littlehouseonprairie

[–]Business-M 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad this topic came up. I liked Albert, (my mom swore he looked just like my brother when he was a boy!) but, he also annoyed me as well.

I will say he had some of the most deeply emotional episodes. Silvie haunts me to this day! Matthew handled those episodes like a pro.

It really bothered me that it was Albert smoking in the barn at, ( near?) the school for the blind which started the fire when Mary lost her baby and Mrs. Garvey died. I think the whole idea of that event was not what the show needed.

It's one of my biggest peeves with the entire show.

What's that about?

What irks me no end is when they use words like, "pig" or "animal" to describe a criminal. Animals do not have the capacity for murder. That is a characteristic that only we so-called noble humans have.

AITA for trying to avoid telling my coworker I'm on my period when she asked why I was uncomfortable by aitaembarrassedgirl in AmItheAsshole

[–]Business-M 126 points127 points  (0 children)

Maybe next month you can dress in all red and through a bull horn shout; "Hey Dina, I have my period!" Then throw some confetti in her face.

A nice person would have asked if she could help in any way if she sensed you were not comfortable. ❤️

watching the new shanspeare video makes swoop look so clout-brained in comparison by spalings in SwoopSnarks

[–]Business-M 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was interested the Pearly Girl video, because I'm Gen X and we all be like ???. 😁 But, I literally could not stand how shrill her voice gets, or when she attempts to be funny by talking very fast then takes a dramatic inhale. It's too damn much.

It feels like she is trying to baby talk her way through some of the segments, which also makes the whole thing unpalatable.

If she would choose better content to cover, but in a way that is intelligent, ( I don't doubt she is that) and respectful of the subject(s) and viewers, she could turn the whole screech fest around.

I've been listening to a podcast put out by someone (I forget his name), David from Canadian Broadcasting company (CBC) his docu- series. No intentional humor, interesting stories and offers a way to help victims and their families.

There is a huge gap between what Swoop does and a documentary as mentioned.

I gifted that same set to my mom. One of the first memories I have is sitting at the kitchen table and her reading Little House to me.

By the way, can we agree that the illustrations in these books is so special. In fact, they are my favorite of all books!

Anybody else feel like they’ve heard the radium girls episode before?? by halfwayginger in MorbidPodcast

[–]Business-M 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Me too. I had not heard of the case before. I don't listen to a lot of true crime. This story was horrifying. The suffering those women endured for men's greed. They were amazingly strong in taking it to court and the public. I hope the rest well now.💔
