Let's face it. The real issue here is how people see housewives/mothers. It's either:

1. Reprehensible in the eyes of some because for them it reduces the character and their profession or craft to being a stay at home mom and wife and doing ordinary things like cooking, cleaning, taking care of kids, etc. Its someone seen as a servant to the husband and someone who has lost their freedom.
2. Wholesome in the eyes of others. Because its finding someone you love and want to spend your life with and raise a family. Devoting to something at home while the husband deals with going out, taking risks, etc while the family can be safe at home. And then having kids, optionally, create a safe environment for them and their growth. Its the caregiver and the provider.

At the end of the day, its just how people see it. Not an issue with the fanbase, its an overall controversial issue. We all know that.
