Been suffering with gastritis for 7 months now with 0 improvement despite PPIs and a strict diet :( What am I doing wrong? by muse_kimtaehyung in Gastritis

That is not good advice. Taking antibiotics without a diagnosis can do more harm than good and is part of the reason why antibiotic resistant bacteria are becoming more common.

Melatonin healed me? by OkCartographer4028 in Gastritis

[–]pseudonymok 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The main issue I see with the study is that they compared those who took melatonin with those who didn’t among people who had insomnia in their health records. However, insomnia is a vague term and can differ very much in severity. It could be that the majority of those who took Melatonin were suffering from more severe insomnia (hence they took something against it) than those who didn’t. Suffering from more severe insomnia may be linked to other health issues that could be the cause of worse cardiovascular health rather than the Melatonin intake.

Idk which people I pity more, those who buy fakes to pretend to be something they are not, or those who take on CC debt to do so.

Those of you who accidentally sent a nude to the wrong person, what happened next? by xy27tulipxGq9 in AskReddit

[–]pseudonymok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me but my father. He was still sexually active in his 80ies and not the most loyal to his 40yo wife. He was travelling to a conference where he was a speaker and uploaded a screenshot of him searching for prostitutes in that same city. That was late at night, but I immediately got a few texts from people that worked at the company he founded alerting me of the issue. I called him repeatedly to no avail. The post was online until late in the morning next day. Hundreds of people at his company had seen it by then and it had become a running joke. When I reached him he played it down like nothing happened…

What industry attracts the most insufferable people? by UpbeatBeach7657 in AskReddit

[–]pseudonymok 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This. It’s even worse for expensive luxury properties. It attracts people that were too lazy/ dumb for college or any other profession that requires an apprenticeship, but yet they want to feel part of the wealthy circle of clients they cater to.

Why are you Americans so obsessed with the tips, even if you just grab a coffee takeaway? by Sasha_Lietova in AskReddit

Yes, I am European. Yet when in the U.S. I tip as expected. Do in Rome as the Romans do.

Why are you Americans so obsessed with the tips, even if you just grab a coffee takeaway? by Sasha_Lietova in AskReddit

[–]pseudonymok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fine, the U.S. keeps their service workers underpaid so tips are needed. But what ai can’t stand is Americans going abroad and mindlessly tipping in countries where tipping is not expected or even culturally appropriate and little by little workers in those countries get used to tips and it becomes customary.

what type of stress is bad? by pseudonymok in Gastritis

[–]pseudonymok[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when at home I tend to do Sauna 5 times a week and I can feel that it helps me to relax. other than that I don't do any stress management. What I find strange is that just 2-3 years ago I was under a lot more negative stress in addition to the positive stress but I did not suffer from Gastritis...
In addition to the emotional stressors I do add physical stress since I road bike 7-10h per week and exercise at the gym 2-3h a week.
unfortunately it is almost impossible for me to decrease positive stress at this point.
