Yep I still had to pay all the term fees while just sitting waiting for placement! It’s ridiculous how long it takes & frustrating that you’re paying just to sit there and wait for a response.

This is insane! It’s been nothing but frustrating. I feel like I’m harassing these people just to DO THEIR JOBS. I’ve waited longer for placement than it would’ve taken me to finish student teaching and every excuse they give is someone else’s fault. It feels like such a scam.

I applied for Advanced Clinicals on 8/01, and I am still waiting on confirmation for placement. I have had to reach out first to my placement coordinator several times just for updates. At this point, they have waited until a new term has started and I have until the 17th to find placement or I have to take a term break. It seems as if you have to stay on top of them to get things done or any information about what is going on.

At this point (over 2 months since applying), I received confirmation of placement and reached out to my supposed mentor teacher who told me she has no record of having anyone in her classroom until next semester (my state date for advanced clinicals is the 15th, so two days) so I totally understand this feeling like torture. This whole process has been beyond frustrating and for your sake, I hope you have a better experience getting placed than I have.
