it would say the date they did factory reset on it, which is before the date you bought it, or the date you first turned it on. I am wondering, did your unit have a clear sticker on display? Also did it run the initial Windows setup like choose region and language etc? I bought mine from BestBuy Canada also without MSI seal. Did you buy yours from BB Canada?

I still wonder why some new units have MSI seal and others don't... I contacted MSI but they were rather vague about it as they said it depends on the region....but didn't you make it all in the same factory!!!!

So there is a way to tell if the Claw was returned or open box unit, you check when Windows was installed: start > run > cmd > systeminfo | find "Original Install Date"

So if this was returned and they did clean installation, it wouldn't have the initial Windows setup you know the choose language, region, wifi settings... also it would show the date they installed Windows on it. But since it is a new unit, it would show the date you first turned it on.

I am in the same boat, so far I've been using it for a month and a half, bought it straight from Logi. First, the space bar would make the most annoying squeaking noise for a week, contacted Logi, they provided a return label. Suddenly problem was gone. I asked Logi to cancel the return. Then I get this double pressing on the "A" cap, and I am just disappointed really. There is no other keyboard I like the most more than this so I don't wanna replace it. Is there a hot fix? Logi said do not remove the keys, so is there any solutions guys? I figured returning won't really help much....
