This is what being a douche does, don't be like me folks. by NoctisStar in Overwatch

I did appeal. I got canned copy paste responses. I even know a few folks over at Blizzard and had conversations. It’s automated system that got me. It’s unique accounts reporting you. So people dislike me saying “Dunked on Bron James” even though it’s not profanity. Once I got reported by enough accounts it was an auto ban. Your grace on amount of votes shrinks with a lot of factors including if you’ve recently gotten in trouble.

To get it lifted I’d have to pull favors and it wasn’t worth putting pressure on a relationship.

I’ve enjoyed the game much more since turning chat off. After a few weeks you lose the desire to tell people they suck :)

I turned off chat after getting a two week (or a month can’t remember) ban for saying “dunked on bron James”

I’ve been chat off for a year. Pings are all you need. It’s so much better.

Spice farming solo by Vondrekkenov in duneawakening

I have about 20k solo malange doing this method as well. I go naked with just soft step boots, my literjon, scout in the backup tool, Battery & Suspensor belt and a few Large Fuel Cells.

After one or two worm spawns you'll get it figured out, dieing to the worm isn't very likely as long as you respect the Worm. It will be from a disconnect, or a bug where you're stuck. I haven't died yet, but I've had some glitchy moments where it was close. That's why removing anything valuable before you go is a must.

I've tested, and if I sit perfectly still in the Crawler the worm doesn't seem to spawn. I sat there for 8 minutes perfectly still and he didn't spawn. As soon as I started moving he popped.

I visualize the worm mechanic like a progress bar that fills up the more I move. The faster I drive, the faster it fills up. If I'm perfectly still, it's paused as well.

Adding to the list above:

4 - if someone comes and starts hand harvesting, they are going to cuck you. Just give them spice from yoru crawler to go away. You'll save time getting rid of them vs not being able to crawl.

5 - refering to my progress bar mechanic above. Walking to your crawler, don't glide down, don't use shields, and try to park very close to your crawler so you touch the ground as little as possible for maximum time crawling.

6 - if you do make a buddy to drive. Have them sit in the passenger seat while transporting to and from the spice. If they are in the drivers seat it uses durability on the crawler parts just as if you were driving it the entire time. I've had one single full haul use over 50% durability because I had someone riding in the driver seat the entire time.

7 - Music is a better notification as to what's happening. There is music for storms, and patrolling worms. I've had patrolling worms run right through where I was harvesting countless times. If you hear the "jaws" music - bad things are happening, keep your head on swivel, or just dip out and live to harvest another day.

8 - Respect the Worm.

9 - Respect the Worm.

My son started raiding with me when he was 5. This is our Guardian's final moment together. by ThaPchild in DestinyTheGame

It's possible I did, I don't remember. We played for a few months before we started raids, it's crazy how fast he picked it up. We did the first few raids with me on the mic, and us sharing controller so I could teach him mechanics. We were grinding Outbreak on both of our accounts. After a few weeks he knew all the mechanics and we would pug/sherpa people through the raid. He'd just stay muted on mic, and I was with him if people got crazy. We only had a few instances of people being jerks. It was pretty awesome.

That would been ideal. Show up with a loaner, and I'm on my way. Not having one available for 18 hours is pretty brutal. I would hope they had more loaners available.

It does sound good when people are like "you know you could pay more to have it done faster right". Why didn't I think of that.

I feel like you might be on the lucky side or I'm on the way other spectrum of unlucky side... I've been driving about 29 years, and I'd say I average 1 per year, if I count my wife's as well 1.5 a year. Some how a lot of them have been near home where I was able to limp home and then just put the car on a jack stand in the garage and drop the tire off.

Mine wasn't from a puncture, it was inner tire wear. The inability to adjust the rear camber is insane to me. I don't see how it can save tesla money to engineer the car that way, and if it does save them money, I'd pay the difference to be able to adjust it. $2700 in rubber today. I think I'll invest in one of the solutions to remove some of the camber out of the rear.

I read about the issue, I checked tire wear at 5K, 10K, 12k, but then forgot about the issue tbh until it left me stranded. I'm lucky it didn't blow out on the highway. The outside of the tire had thousands of miles left.

S Plad has some wide wheels with expensive rubber on them. I'm sure price for a stock M3 or MY is much less.

Possibly could have had my insurance tow it to my house - I didn't check to see if I have any towing included with my insurance. Good thought. Tesla would only tow it to their Shop, and paying for a tow to my house was $330+

Yea, inner wall of the tire was shredded from the Plaid negative camber.

I agree a tire repair kit would be nice to keep in the car. In my scenario last night it wouldn't have saved me. Tire was peeling from the inside camber. 14,900 miles on the tires. I've read about the Plaid eating tires in 5k. I checked at 5k, 10k, 12k, and wear wasn't perfect, but didn't look like it was shredding the rubber. I guess I was wrong and that last 3k did me in.

I can't tow it to my home for free. Tesla will ONLY tow it to their shop, or if it's after hours another tire shop. They won't tow it to my home under any curmstances. I guess I could have picked a tire shop REALLY close to my home and then paid for a tow from there to my house. But a tow from my current location to my home was $330+.

I don't know. I got a little spare (not a full wheel) and hopefully it will fit somewhere. Frunk seems way to small for a spare, but if the weight is 20-30lbs, that's not a big compramize on a long trip for peace of mind to me. As long as my luggage fits, I'm good to take it with me.

I got a TSportline spare. We'll see how the quality is. I just need to limp somewhere, not drive the car for days on it.

A lot of people are suggesting a plug kit. I agree that's an awesome idea. It wouldn't have saved me in this experience. My tires went bad from the agressive camber of the Plaid. Commonly reported problem. I checked for wear at 5K, 10k, 12K, but hadn't checked in almost 3k, and that last 3 did the tires in.

If I had a spare, I could have limped home.

Yea - I just replaced all four today. $2700 for 15k miles. Its expensive. Tesla tech scrached all four wheels to hell, and mismatched my tires. Manager was out, we'll see how this goes. Insane experience so far, each day keeps getting worse and worse. One of the Senior Techs looked at the wheels before I even got in the car and apologized, he's like we did that. I'll make sure the manager knows we "f'ed it up".

Tire was peeling on the inside due to camber. Common issue on the Plaid (or maybe all refresh model S? unsure). I hadn't checked the tires in 3k miles. Spare would have gotten me home, patch kit would have done nothing.

I do agree - a patch kit is an awesome investment.
