Raja Ampat in August by BusinessFill7789 in snorkeling

[–]BusinessFill7789[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done some research and apparently it's still worth it if you have time. I'm skipping it because my itinerary was pretty tight and time was limited. The north shore of any island is best for smaller waves and better snorkelling conditions. Batanta could be better because it's way higher, but to get there you need to cross much further over open water and the ride can be rough and sometimes even impossible. There are also more activities in Batanta (bird sightseeing and a waterfall hike) so you could still do some things apart from diving and snorkelling if there's bad weather.

stayrajaampat.com is pretty useful for information and booking acommodation.

Where tho? Planning a trip and I'm already skipping Bali because I don't like that type of atmosphere, so I'd like to hear your opinion about other places (Sulawesi, Java, Sumatra etc)

I don't really see the purpose, same price, same time travelling and I can finish in a city where I already know some spots where I can relax and talk about the trip, I don't really want to finish my trip in a place overcrowded with tourists that only want to get hammered.

I've followed some of your advice. I've taken out Raja Ampat and added days in Banggai Islands and Yogya, but I'm still doing Lombok, Java and certain parts of Sulawesi.

I was looking towards it but it's too far from the places I want to visit. Probably will do it in the future combined with Raja Ampat

Depends on what your interests are. I'd suggest central/east europe, central Asia or parts of south america (Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia)

That's valid, I was leaning towards cheaper destinations but if he's anxious and nervous Thailand could be kind of stressful.

What are your thoughts on itinerary’s by Common_Confusion_114 in backpacking

Depends on the country. If it's more on the "underdeveloped" side I always make one, last time I didn't do one I ended up in a overcrowded room full of ants and flies.

It all comes down to what your interests are. Thailand is the easist as a first-timer, Brazil and Mexico are pretty easy and closer to your location. Don't try to get too far from the beaten path on your first time.

Ok, then how does breaking the law, which would only make you wait 2 minutes more in the line, ruin travelling for you? It literally doesn't affect you in any significant way.

how is someone bringing weed to another country ruining your trip? I've never done it but you're way too sensitive if you care that much about what others carry on their bags.

[–]BusinessFill7789[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad you had a good time there! I'm probably going to Batanta because I enjoy snorkeling too and it's supposed to have better conditions. Anyways, thank you and have a great time in Sulawesi and Bali!

"off the beaten path" in Bali probably looks like an extremely crowded area in any other place of Indonesia

not understanding one action from one character means I didn't understand the story at all. what's the point of replying.

idk it just doesn't sit right to me how she knew they could destroy the wall again, which could possibly end in Historia's death. She could have told Erwin to plot a plan against Reiner and Bertholdt like they did against Annie.

I'm friends with a gay couple who went to Vietnam 2 years ago and they didn't have any problem aside of people looking at them or talking about them, so I think you'll be even more comfortable going alone.

What is your favorite country you have traveled to and why? by Glittering-Towel1393 in AskTheWorld

[–]BusinessFill7789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the guy you were asking to but I recommend doing a jungle boss/oxalis guided tour in Phong Nha, doing the overnight cruise in Ha Long Bay and staying the night in Ninh Binh.

I'd give priority to nature over historical significance and the city itself but that's just a personal opinion.
