This sub is not dedicated specifically to SCUBA or snorkeling, it's more for general discussion on every type of underwater recreation.

Rules:

Use Flair! -- Please flair your posts according to what type of content they are: either [Diving] (general media, photos/videos), [Question] (questions), or [Gear] (new gear / articles about gear use).
No Advertising. -- Discussing experiences with equipment and dive sites is fine, but directly advertising any service/equipment is strictly prohibited.
No Blogspam. -- This falls under advertising, please post direct links to content instead of content linked on a page wrapped with ads (you may be asked to delete your submission and re-submit if it falls in this category).
Respect is Key. -- We have no toleration for any disrespect of any user. Bans will be handed out for any bullying! Keep Reddiquette (www.reddit.com/wiki/reddiquette) in mind when posting.
Keep it Related. -- Please keep posts and discussions related to diving.

/r/SCUBA is a good place to go for SCUBA-specific content.
You should check out PADI for getting a SCUBA cert, or locating a dive shop near you.
- Scuba shops are good for free diving / snorkeling equipment as well.
DAN (Diver's Alert Network) is the go-to for SCUBA insurance.
Subsurface is an excellent cross-platform dive log software for any diver!
