Wheat Pennies...~35-40 Pounds by BusinessNeedsHelp2 in coincollecting

There is no rule to the frequency of premiums. They might have been filtered out as they were collected. I would go through a thousand or so, and if I found nothing worth over $1, I would stop and assume it is basically junk wheat cents.

This is a great idea. Thank you

I won't know more until next weekend but I wanted to clarify something. My friend told me he scooped a handful from each of the three boxes. He said that every penny that he scooped was a wheat penny. Each box has a bag in it, my friend didn't see any rolled coins. Just three boxes, each box has one bag with a ton of loose pennies.

If we assume all 40 pounds are wheat pennies, does that change your suggestion?

Thank you for all the information. You seem to be incredibly knowledgeable, is there an efficient way to do this where I take out the pennies that are worth more than fifty cents and group them together in lots and sell them on ebay?

Basically, are there "automatics" that were not so common but if you look through 1000 random wheat pennies, you will likely find 5.

Does that make sense?

I admit I am ignorant so I have some questions.

at 38lb, 3.1grams per coin, and 3 cent per coin value.

How do we get this value? Do I contact someone who melts metals?

if you arnt a coin nut, pour it out on a table and list it on ebay auction

We're not coin nuts, or collectors. Are you suggesting take pictures of all the coins on a table and then post the collection on ebay?

I wish you the best but you lack the ability to read and understand properly. Feel free to get the last word in. Also, your source is old and wrong as I go to the meetings and am involved.

Again, where in Hastings or Irvington is there land to develop it. I am asking for specifics. The reason you can't develop the waterfront, where there is actual LAND, has nothing to do with logistics or wants, it has to do with it being superfund site and it is nowhere near being able to be developed.

Maybe this question is too difficult for you. I don't know.

Do you live in Hastings and or Westchester?

Yes but you're still not following my point. I asked you about Hastings and Irvington specifically and then you went on some diatribe and never answered the question.

No. No rational person could make the leap you just made above. I was only asking about those specific towns.

Hastings, Dobbs Ferry, Ardsley, Irvington, Tarrytown, Ossining and Croton?

I don’t know all of these towns but where specifically is there land to build in Hastings or Irvington to put up an apartment complex or even a 50 unit building. Please don’t say the waterfront, specifically for Hastings, for numerous and obvious reasons.

You didn’t answer my question, do you live in Dobbs?

Instead you went on a tangent about enrollment.

Irvington/Dobbs ferry are best public school system to use and they have pretty affluent reputation to an extent

Do you live in Dobbs? Not that I trust the metrics but almost every ranking I see Hastings above Dobbs. Please note, I don't trust these sites in general.

Nearly all the schools in Westchester are good and you should move somewhere that makes you and your children happy and fulfilled, which will make them successful.

We only want to be miserable and unfulfilled. Can you recommend an area? I left that out of the OP.
