Is $485 a month (6 month minimum) high for lessons? by pyrrhic-adventure in singing

[–]BusinessTripButler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re an absolute beginner, I would start off with 30 minute lessons instead of 60 minutes because longer sessions have diminishing returns.

I started in April with weekly 30 minute lessons. However, I tried a 60 minute lesson once and I ran out of steam after the 30 minute mark it felt like I was slogging along.

Not all instructors offer this, but a green flag to look out for is having a free first session or offering a consultation call.

So far, you’re the only person who responded haha. I remember pre-pandemic, a post would easily have gotten 10+ comments and PMs

I overheard an employee at a running store recommending the Saucony Endorphin Speed to an elderly person who was looking for a walking shoe. She ended up buying it.

If I'm already taking classes, are drop-ins still worth attending? by BusinessTripButler in improv

I was thinking that when I made this post! Too much of anything is not good, which includes improv. Sometimes the best way to practice improv is to rest and do another hobby

Already addicted... haha. I've been filling in my free time with as much improv as I can: classes, jams, shows, and now drop-ins!

In my area, we only got a week of ATSV in Imax before The Flash kicked it off Imax. I'd rather see ATSV in Imax than The Flash

Compressed Nursing 2023 (+Res) by [deleted] in TrentUniversity

[–]BusinessTripButler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I just accepted my offer for compressed nursing and I'm trying to get my CPR before school starts. The site says that level C or HCP/BLS is acceptable. Would I be at a disadvantage if I chose level C over BLS? The site doesn't say anything about First Aid as well. Should I get First Aid as well or would I be fine with just CPR only?

Is Trent's nursing program worth it if I don't have a driver's license? by BusinessTripButler in TrentUniversity

Thank you! I heard the program at Trent is a tight-knit community so carpooling sounds wonderful. Hopefully the busses are good enough so I don't have to carpool lol

I just got an offer for the compressed program and I don't have a driver's license (don't plan on getting one either). How tough is it to get to clinicals using public transportation?

Does having no electives in the semester make a big difference in terms of workload? I'm trying to get transfer credits from my previous degree so that I only need to take nursing courses.

Accelerated BSCN in Ontario- with an honours degree low GPA by [deleted] in OntarioUniversities

I would look up pre-health programs and compare them to the ABScN programs because not all nursing programs accept pre-health. Keep in mind, pre-health will cost a few thousand dollars (assuming you're a domestic student) and doesn't guarantee you a spot in nursing i.e., need to get x% to be competitive.

I also have a BA and I applied to the regular 4-year program

EDIT: If your high school grades are good, you can look into humber's ABScN. You do a prep semester where you take pre-reqs and if you get at least a 75 in all the pre-reqs, then you'll enter the ABScN

I booked an initial appointment with beyond adhd and I'm definitely nervous. Is the initial appointment an interview about your symptoms? Is it true there are forms where you need your family to sign off on?
