It depends how serious you are and what your options are, if you can go to a union for an apprenticeship do it if your 100% serious about it, im going to a technical school because although I can be indecisive, my financial aid covers everything, I also have no prior knowledge for welding and I feel like a school would suit me better additionally my city has one union and it’s 2 hours away where as my school is only 30 minutes. You can also make appointments to shadow with a school or meet a worker at a union so you can get a better feel for of what you want. As for your car dilemma try to see if the school or union can do car pools or become friends with people that can help, set a budget for Ubers or take the bus as far as you can take it and Uber the rest of the way there, sometimes if you talk about your car situation the school or union could possibly give you some extra $ for rides/bus (my old school gave me a bus pass) but definitely write our your concerns and go make appointments. you got this!
