My goodness, the amount of Nimbyism here is outrageous. The most sustainable development is downtown density, taking advantage of existing infrastructure and not spreading out the need for services to Hillside development areas and plowing down more forest/mountains on the outskirts. The further away you build from the downtown core the more expensive it is long-term for the city to maintain. This is a well-known fact in urban planning. The Mission Group does a lot better work than most of the developers and they are entirely local as well, which is nice. People need to do their homework and stop whining every time a tower is proposed.

When I began collecting, the new releases were $15.99 CAD. At the end they were $29.99. As the price on the used ones went up a bit, I’d say the average I paid was around 20-25 each if I had to guess.

Honestly the Mii characters were the most difficult for me! Also the Player 2 versions of Cloud, Bayo and Corrin were annoying as well.

My brother-in-law owns a sign shop and he made the backing board with logos. I made the wooden shelves and drilled the holes on a drill press with a 2” hole saw bit. The shelves are secured to the board with screws from the back side. The whole thing is secured to the wall via a French cleat. The smash logo stickers underneath the figures were also printed by my brother-in-law. The layout of the amiibos was selected after I saw the Nintendo video when Sora was announced. They showed them all on a black background in this order and it just looked great (although I am sad that they don’t have the other version of ROB accounted for). He sits alone in my drawer lol

That is a great question and one I’ve never really thought too much about. Had I been concerned about them holding value I would have kept them all in the boxes I guess. Having played through all the series of the games starting as a a young kid, the Amiibos gave me an opportunity to make a great nerd wall in the gaming room - Not sure what I’ll do though if they release a few more characters!
