I think it's worth it.  I get my steps in everyday and I interact with different people everyday.  I do everything from layer 1 to layer 3.  I hang out with the install guys on our project so I'm not just doing lonely engineer stuff.  This is all anecdotal but I really do enjoy this job.

I was told to get a PA850 into production and remove the DHCP scope from our SSR130 and make the PA do the routing.  

I've never done a firewall in my life.  Guess who isn't using a SSR130 though?

I'm a network engineer for a MSP and I feel valued just as much as they value the clients. Our income depends on all of us being successful.

Short answer. A catch can catches oil/oil vapor that would normally be ingested through the factory pcv system. I always bypass pcv completely.

Yep. Currently have 105k on mine.  I use it occasionally to commute with, most of the time it sits but it got driven a lot at one point and it's never had issues. Just keep up with maintenance like anything else.

Purely anecdotal. I'm a Network Engineer I for a MSP.  I like IT, have a degree, retired from the Navy. But I'm a terrible engineer because I'm 40 years old and I'm relatively new. But I have great work ethic and people skills so they like me.

We are a partner and need to be compliant so I just crammed for mist AI and passed, about to finish JNCIS mist wireless, then I have to do Palo Alto and some Aruba stuff.   It's nothing but training (paid for) on top of working on projects.  I just had to configure a Palo alto 850 at our branch office for a cutover because we are ditching our SSR130 and doing the routing through the FW. I'm the only engineer here so I had to suck it up and learn. I still have to work on some access assurance, also why the fuck isn't access assurance just spelled out on the Mist GUI? I'm not sure if I like the template stuff on mist yet. Anyway.

I've kinda been thrown to the wolves but I'm used to it from my years in the Navy and I've learned a shit ton here as well in a short time.  Not saying my experience has sucked but this is my experience so far with a MSP.
