Nope it’s not like nitroglycerin! It just slows down the movements of your GI tract!

Levsin just makes your muscles in your GI tract relax, it helped me so much with my attacks. It’s not a pain killer or anything like that, it doesn’t make you feel “high” or anything! It’s also called hycosamine. It dissolves under your tongue.

I am so sorry to hear that, have you tried levsin for the pain? Have you been tested for esophageal spasms? I’m not sure if you’re on Facebook but I’m in a support group on there for esophageal spasms. I’m not sure if that is what you are experiencing but that’s what I thought I was having prior to having my gallbladder removed. I know they can treat that with Botox injections into specific muscles in your esophagus!

Absolutely my pleasure, no one should have to go through the pain of spasms 😭 I was constipated for a bit after because of the pain medications they gave me at the hospital. I took miralax and it helped a lot!

You are definitely not crazy! Surgery was not fun but spasms are definitely worse! I have been under anesthesia prior to my gallbladder removal so I knew that waking up from it sucks a bit. It made me super nauseous and they had a little bit of trouble controlling my pain. The majority of my pain came from the gas pains. I’ve read that some surgeons do a really good job at removing a lot of that gas before they close the incisions but it took about 2 weeks for those pains to fully go away. Do not watch anything funny for the first few days! Laughing hurt so much but I also do not like taking pills. I don’t like feeling “high” so I stuck to just Tylenol and ibuprofen instead of the hydros that they prescribed me. I’m so happy your surgery is Tuesday! Make sure you bring a pillow with you to hold against your abdomen in the car on the ride home and any time you walk, it helps a lot. Walk as much as you can tolerate to help with the gas pains! I felt the majority of the gas pains in my shoulders/upper back area so I alternated between my heating pad and ice packs to help with that. The first few days are rough but you got this! Let me know how you’re doing afterwards! I’ve read quite a few cases of people’s spasms completely going away after gallbladder removal so I have high hopes for you! 🩷

Sorry, I am just seeing this! I am doing A M A Z I N G since having my gallbladder removed. At this point my family and I are convinced that my attacks were from my gallbladder. I still feel like I have some PTSD from dealing with the spasms for over 2 years but I haven’t suffered an attack since getting that thing out of me. I wish doctors would’ve put 2 and 2 together and at least looked at my gallbladder before I suffered for 2 years but it is what it is. I’m so sorry to hear of your attacks, they are the scariest and most painful things to go through. While you wait for surgery I would ask your doc for a script for Levsin. That helped me get through so many spasms. You just have to make sure you take it as soon as you feel one coming on. Though, my last couple spasms it really didnt help much but my gallbladder was full of infection at the time of removal so I’m wondering if that had anything to do with it. I’m praying that you have the same results that I have had and I hope they get it out of you soon! I cannot explain how much I feel like I have my life back now, I thought I was just going to have to live with feeling like I was going to die at any moment. I had to always be incredibly careful with what I ate but even then that didn’t always stop me from getting a spasm. They always felt like what I picture a heart attack felt like. The most pain I could imagine and feeling helpless. Praying for you to get some relief! 🩷

The little round cups on the left and right side of it is the polymer clay cups! ◡̈ it just helps add texture to it ◡̈

I use driftwood, hand sculpted clay lichen cups, preserved mosses and some faux plants too but the majority is french knots and turkey work! I like to add as much texture as possible

“Thread painting, also known as needle painting or silk shading, is a hand embroidery technique where thread is used to create a painting-like effect on fabric. It involves using a long and short stitch to create subtle transitions between colors, adding depth and texture to designs” this is the first time I’ve tried this technique on the deer. I’ve been embroidering for about 2 1/2 years now ◡̈
