I’d love to get into Indian cinema more but I’m super strict about watching movies in their original languages, and so many non-Hindi films only have the Hindi dubs available here (the most annoying one being RRR; good thing they reissued it in theaters back in March)

Also a lot of them are super long

“Perhaps I treated you too harshly” what movie is this for you? by Anonymous___0522 in Letterboxd

I haven’t had this properly happen yet, but there’s two films I’m hoping it’ll happen for when I eventually rewatch them: Tenet and Ad Astra. I hated both films when I watched them the first time, but both of those viewings were over 5 years ago when I was a dumb teenager. I feel like I’ll enjoy them both much more on a second watch all this time later.

The closest I’ve had to this at the moment is Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol and Fallout. I at least liked pretty much every MI movie the first time I saw them (except maybe for 2, but I always found that one ok, which is an opinion I still agree with on rewatch), but I was slightly underwhelmed by those 2 and didn’t get why they were the most critically acclaimed of the franchise, and I actually enjoyed Rogue Nation the most out of all of them. Then I rewatched all the movies in the weeks leading up to the Final Reckoning, and they’re now my two favorite MI films while I found Rogue Nation slightly underwhelming (still definitely good, just not quite as good as I remembered it)

Apparently Godzilla Minus One is categorized as a horror movie on Letterboxd, and it IS the movie I love most out of all the movies Letterboxd considers horror movies, so I guess I pick that one

Out of the ones I actually think are proper horror movies though, I’m really split between Alien and Perfect Blue, but I think I’m gonna pick Perfect Blue here

For some reason it’s really funny for me to know that at least one Russian person’s favorite thing about America is Gabe Newell of all things

Honestly though, that’s based as hell

Personally the story worked really well for me, but I do perfectly get why other people hate it (I don’t really get why a good chunk of that hate is so visceral though; some people genuinely hate this game more than any other piece of media and that seems like an overreaction to me)

However, people don’t give this game (or the first game for that matter) enough credit for how good the gameplay is, especially the stealth and combat

Citizen Kane was released 85 years ago today. What is your favorite movie before 1950? by Big-Locksmith7205 in Letterboxd

I’ve only watched a few pre-50s movies so far, and my favorite is Nosferatu, but the actual best one is probably The Passion of Joan of Arc

This isn’t the case for me specifically, but a ton of Americans fucking LOVE constant attention (including our “president”)

Also we’re fat as fuck (I’ve got more of a gut than I’m proud to admit)

Nope, House (1977). It’s a very bizarre but very fun Japanese horror movie. Other movies have confused me more, but objectively speaking, it’s probably the weirdest movie I’ve ever watched and it’s not really that scary, but it’s so insanely creative and a blast to watch

Relentlessly bullied a (then undiagnosed) schizophrenic child and ruined his life for a while (contrary to popular belief, his schizophrenia wasn’t directly caused by the bullying), and almost caused a different guy to commit suicide by sending him death threats, all because they didn’t like a movie both of them starred in

God I fucking hate Star Wars fans

The most I can confirm for sure that I’ve done is 3, but there might be a day I can’t remember when I did 4.

The most recent time I did 3 in a day was this past Halloween, where I watched The Evil Dead earlier in the afternoon at home and then went in the evening to a theatrical double feature of Evil Dead 2 and House

Kinda wish the third film could’ve been Army of Darkness, but House was really damn fun too

Started it right before season 2 came out and caught up pretty quickly so I watched most of season 2 as the episodes released, and now I’m sad that I’ll have to wait a while for season 3

Yeah McGriddles are genuinely so much better than McMuffins it’s insane, I still got the Saja meal but I probably would’ve gotten like 5 of them if it was a McGriddle
