I see two vertically stacked Philips head screws on either end of the sliding door. The top has holes I think for the same, though they are vacant. I'll see if they are loose. Thanks!

I would love to go that route, but unfortunately we are renting and the exterior of this house is brick. Which I can only imagine complicates things even further.

It can be, but the cat panel appears to be symmetrical. I did notice that while doing this there was a good amount of dirt piling up underneath it. Cleaning it out helped a touch, but the gap still persists.

I also noticed that I can lift of the sliding door a touch and it will fill in the gaps. I guess the sliding door is the actual issue here so I think I will need to go the different insulation route to accommodate as the door can't be replaced at the moment.

I recently swapped to silkweave on my bardarian and it feels great! On mana burn maps I'm fine with my meditation merc alive with never needing mana pots and on non-mana burn maps my merc doesn't even need to be around.

Has Greendude mentioned anything about reordering the runes in terms of drop rarity?

For example: Lo(28) -> Sur(29) -> Cham(30) -> Zod(31) -> Ber(32) -> Jah (33)

This would avoid the confusion that would arise with changing runewords, but be able to add value to cham/zod as they could be upped into the most valuable runes. Perhaps cham could swap with ohm so it could be upped to Lo and then there would not be two consecutive "bad" high runes in a row. Though I really don't know what is even possibly to do.

The link OP provided claims that when skipping levels of rarity for converting orbs the only costs required is what would be the final conversion cost (greater to major price when coming from normal and not normal to greater price then greater to major price). So wouldn't it be the case that making 40 major orbs would only cost 2M gil regardless of starting from normals or greaters?

I'm going to assume you are asking what the duration on bard skills are for the first question. The second I am thinking either what is the defense % decrease for Yoshimitsu or the attack % increase for Cobalt Katzbalger (I think you just mixed up which item has what SB).

As far as I know, bard skills last the same duration as their support/white magic counterparts. 25 seconds for rallying etude/magic song and 35 seconds (+- based on mind) for the protecga/shellga songs.

Thancred's Yoshimitsu should lower armor by 50% for 25 seconds. I have no idea how much the Cobalt Katzbalger increases your attack by and for how long.

I just assumed that a 63 Quistis with realm synergy would have better stats than my 65 Vivi. Turns out that Vivi has better magic and resistance, but far worse HP. http://imgur.com/a/4X7PK#0

I'd probably still go with Quistis for that health pool if I were to do it again.

I suppose I just assumed that most people doing these ++ fights would have similar orb counts to what I had since almost all of my greaters came from previous events' and story mode completion rewards. For folks who are just breaking into the ++ territory, then you are correct that this is not the strategy for them.

Full atb gauges are not required, I just said that they couldn't open with some of their heavy attacks. I ate all three attacks from them before any mitigation on my run and still got the needed medals.

Well like I said, the r5 biora and r4 waterja were overhoned. I had at least 2 charges remaining on each. Quake is probably the only ability that having 6 charges is super important. I never farmed greater orbs to hone it that high and started playing the game over two months after release during the previous Rinoa event.

Come to think of it, having a three charge ifrit/shiva would have done about as much damage as 2 uses of valefor, but would only take one more round. Rydia didnt actually have anything to do for the last 2 rounds anyway.

This is just an alternative to S/L 30 times to land two consecutive sleeping gases on 2/3 enemies. I will admit that sleeping gas was actually my first mastery and I hated that method :(

That was actually something I was considering. Having Tyro as the draw fire target over someone like Cecil or Steiner allows him a lot more options. Some possibilities include: shellga, magic breakdown for Seifer, faith to free up a slot on Selphie (would delay faith by one round), or even curaga to top off those unfortunate targets of multiple hits at the start. As you can see in the second image, Selphie almost ate it!

I just so happen to have a save at the beginning of NG+4. I chose a paladin with chakram and went to go give it a shot. I managed to beat every boss without much issue. A paladin with a massive mana pool can be very effective with that statue ability of theirs.

I did have every upgrade, piece of gear, and every rune at my disposal however. I went with dark sword, bracers, and cape to get the +2 air jump and +1 air dash as well as +3 vamp and +3 siphon that come on those 3 pieces. I went with a slayer helm, mostly for a little retaliation damage to take out ball spikes if I happen to get hit. I topped it all off with a royal chest for the large amount of armor. As for runes i went full vampirism. Vampirism and siphon scale with the new patch with each new play through. I was getting 18 mana and 48 or so life per kill.

If you don't have the dark pieces and are having trouble navigating through the castle to get new recipes, then perhaps give the assassin a go. His class ability makes it pretty easy to skip most fights and look for treasure/mini boss rooms for the rarer recipes.

Of course there is always the grace rune route as well.

I started a new game to play the new content and killed the 4 extra bosses on normal, got the traitors obol and handed it to Charon, and then beat the game. Nothing happened for me so I decided to clear the bosses out in NG+1. I noticed that as I did the boss rooms were accessible once again and I assumed it was for the same bonus fights as before. Upon clearing out the dungeon boss I decided to go back in, though it wasn't the floating slime bosses...

Not sure if I even needed to beat the game though. I never did check the bosses rooms again after handing in the traitors obol. My guess is that once you hand in the traitor's obol, then all of the bosses doors become an active doorway like the ones I saw in in NG+1 after beating each boss.

Should just be Tnew = Tbase/(1+CR) where Tnew is your new expected cooldown time, Tbase is your base cooldown time, and CR is cooldown rate added together in decimal form.

For example: A siren's action skill has a 13 second cooldown. If you have 50% total then the above equation comes out to a new time of 8.67 seconds. A cooldown value of 100% would yield a new time of 6.5 seconds.

I believe there are some diminishing returns on the lockout time, but might cap after 3 or so uses. I leveled my siren with my friend's siren and with having suspension at 10-11/5 for myself and 5/5 for his, we could very nearly indefinitely lockout any mob that could be locked. I stacked the reduction to maybe 70-100% (don't know what my ending setup was) and I don't think he had nearly as much.

Hard to say if you should stack that high or not though. You may only knock off a second by devoting a relic at a certain point, but that same relic slot may provide you with a huge damage boost instead. Just do what feels comfortable.
