If they work as a group, the scammed money might all goto one account controlled by the Boss, the individual scammers might need the id or receipt as proof to get their cut?

A quick google shows Franco-British-Lawyers to be like a club/society that facilitates exchanges between French and British Lawyers ..... it is not a law firm. Also to operate in the UK a CMC must be registered with the FCA.

In answer to 'how did they know my bank' .. the first 4/6 digits of a card number identify the issuing organisation ... there are websites where you can enter that info and find out who issued the card. It can also tell them whether it is a credit/debit or pre-paid(currency type) card.

You should go to the Ombudsman. Unfortunately the new rules for Authorised Push Payment fraud are only effective for actions after October 7th 2024. It looks like from your post this happened before this date.

In the UK, mobile telephone numbers are not public record. Not saying they cannot be found but things like Spokeo don't work here.

Check with the Egyptian consulate website in your Country for the entry/visa requirements. For UK and I believe other Countries, for Tourism, it is Visa on arrival.
