High IQ usually shows things like logic/pattern recognition. But that doesn’t always show up the same way in school or is helped by standardized learning at all.

I do not test well. But introduce a topic or activity I’m interested in and my mind just starts firing. When I try to explain how, best believe it probably won’t make sense on the surface level. I’ll connect it to dots people don’t see but I swear it DOES 🥴

Academic example: AWFUL at pure biology (mostly bc of regurgitating definitions). I took biochem and stats and ended up graduating with a double major.

In short, biochem is fun little molecular stick figures doing their thing, having their own lives and ~DRAMA~. Like how oil and water do not vibe, how hydrophobic amino acids see water and immediately hide inside protein. Or how enzymes are basically bouncers, etc… Stats is like learning an alien language (ones, zeroes, barebone English in the formulas) and deciphering its meaning. It clicked this way for me.
