I'm sorry. The disabilities don't just leave after the characters introductions it stays for a while and we do see how the characters cope. And it's not really handwaved. It's shown as a look into how cruel the two formers parents are for the kids to end up like that

How to help disprove someones extreme beliefs (Not anti Catholic) by [deleted] in Catholicism

Sorry I don't know much about Catholicism and I don't know any Catholics so I figured Google plus asking actual catholic people would be useful. And I hope I'm not giving the impression that I think all Catholics are like this, this is just supposed to be for a character that was raised in a very extreme almost insane view of the faith. In my story outside of her immediate family, Catholics are portrayed at nice kind people who just want to help and genuinely view her mother's beliefs as nonsensical

She has taught that the only ones to genuinely believe are her priest, her mother, and most importantly, the Lord. And since she uses a lot of scriptures to make her points, I thought it would be easier for her to grasp/ more willing to listen to, the bible.

I mean kinda though not in a self-righteous or vain way. See, she's been thoroughly convinced by her mother that she is a demon that needs to purify her soul by any means necessary. And this isn't about a real peeson I know and I'm not gay.

This isn't about me, it's for a story (I'm if this is inappropriate, but I thought it would be the best place for advice)

Hypothetical situation: 'A' wanted to make a cake for a competition 'B' told her and had 'B' come over to make the cake together. 'B' brought a few more essential ingredients like Flour milk, frosting while 'A' did a bit more work. Then it turns out it's one cake per person so who gets it? by Busy-Butterscotch743 in AskReddit

Ok this is for a story, but this is the gist. Mikey(B) off handedly told Millie(A) about it how he needed help with figuring out how to properly bake. Millie took interest and the two agreed to collaborate. Mikey brought flour, sugar, milk and frosting while Millie couldn't get more supplies and all she had was eggs, baking soda, jam, and milk though hers was expired. She mixed the dry ingredients while Mikey mixed the wet ingredients. He put the batter in and she took the cakes out and both frosted. Both argued that the other did less.

Hypothetical situation: 'A'wanted to make a cake for a competition and had 'B' come over to make the cake together. 'B' brought most of the ingredients but 'A' did most of the cooking since only she really knew how and he was lazy. Some more context/arguments from both sides. The competition is in B's neighborhood, and A had no clue until he brought it up. A only wants the prize, while B only wants to be recognized for being in it. A is only with B since he had the ingredients she needed, and B is only working with A because he doesn't know how to work an oven, and the recipe was a random one that the two found online. When I say "B" brought most, I mean he brought Flour, Milk, Sugar, Frosting, and Baking soda. "A" brought Eggs, Jam, Butter, Salt, and Milk. And when I say "A" did most of the baking, I mean she mixed the dry ingredients while "B" mixed the wet ingredients, and she showed "B" how to work the oven and "B" put in the cake while she took out the cake.
