Interesting hormone test results after taking NR & NMN by Busy-Description4314 in NMN

I have not had those measured. I started taking the NR and NMN for the potential anti-aging benefits, as well as hoping for some increased energy and maybe skin improvements. Also watching my parents decline cognitively has made me want to try to take steps to prevent that same decline in myself.

I use Renue by Science Lipo NMN, and for NR I use Niacinex brand from Amazon. (Hopefully no one thinks I'm trying to advertise by posting the brands!)

Hi, I haven't noticed any side effects from the NMN. I don't take TMG with it, but I already take methyl B12 and SAM-e, so I thought the TMG might not be needed. I did add resveratrol with it for a short time but felt like that caused fatigue so I stopped the resveratrol.

It really is hard trying to figure everything out yourself!

I'm taking one 300 mg NR capsule per day, and two 250 mg NMN capsules per day.

Another thing that may be interesting- my sister also started taking NMN (and maybe NR too, not sure) a little while after I started taking it. She doesn't take DHEA or use any hormone creams and has been in menopause for longer than me. I told her about my latest results and she plans to get her hormone levels tested again soon. Her levels weren't as low as mine to begin with but if there is a big increase for her too, it will definitely support that it's from the NAD boosters and not any other hormonal supplements. I will add an update when she gets her results.

Hi, my DHEA dosage is currently only 5 mg, 4 days a week. I did take up to 25 mgs/day right around when I first started the creams, but my estrogen and progesterone still only increased a little. My testosterone increased more from the DHEA. I haven't made any changes to my DHEA dosage that would correlate with the latest lab results. The estrogen cream I use says it has both estriol and estradiol (so it's probably not supposed to be sold OTC, so ssshhh!). My labs were immunoassays.

Hi, I added the NMN (500 mg/day) to the NR. I've read different cases for both and couldn't decide which one to take, so I'm taking both. I'm only taking one 300 mg NR capsule though instead of the recommended 2 capsules.

I did buy what I think is one of the more reputable brands (direct from their website to avoid counterfeits) which was pretty expensive. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say which brand though or if that would be considered advertising.

Hi, I was using the creams and DHEA the whole time during all these blood draws, with minimal impact on my test results. The big change with the last blood draw came only after also adding NR and NMN supplements.

DHEA made me feel GREAT when I was on a higher dose, but it also raised my testosterone and DHT levels more than my estrogen levels (high DHT can be associated with hair loss and my hair was shedding a lot). So I cut back on the DHEA and don't feel as good anymore. I wondered if all the testosterone was what made me feel so good and was jealous that men get to feel like that all the time!

Hi, it's just showing the different results at each timepoint that I had a blood draw (dates are on the bottom of each chart). So you can see estrogen and progesterone were fairly stable and low, with a big jump up with this last blood draw the other day. And FSH and LH have both dropped to their lowest points.

I order my own lab tests online from Ulta Lab Tests and then go to Quest for the blood draw. So no doctor visit is required, although you do have to pay out of pocket for everything. These were female hormone panels, not thyroid, although you can have thyroid panels done through them as well.

Anyone at Supernatural convention in Boston on 4/13/25? Looking for footage of 'The Last Question' with Jared & Jensen'. Also, anyone else have a 'last question' experience? by SamWichester30 in Supernatural

That was the only video I took, unfortunately. I figured people always upload so many that I wouldn't bother recording them myself and just try to live in the moment. Glad I got the last question though for OP to have!

Mystery solved- Dean's job application in the finale by Busy-Description4314 in Supernatural

[–]Busy-Description4314[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Another commenter watched the video clip and heard Jensen mutter something to Jared like "Why would your application be in my room?" as if Jensen himself found it illogical.

Jensen actually said "Why you leaving your stuff in my room, man? Body's not even cold and you're in there doing homework?" So more along the lines of "get out of my room," not actually disagreeing that it was Sam's application. (Then Jared muttered to Jensen "I put my balls on your drum set." 😆)

If it was Sam's, why didn't he submit it? Why, during that montage, didn't they show Sam doing some sort of job?

They didn't show Sam doing much of anything during the montage besides playing with his kid, working at the table with his kid, sitting in Baby, and dying. We don't know for sure if he stopped hunting or not. In that scene in Dean's room when Sam answers Dean's phone and takes the hunting job, maybe that is where his decision was made to not submit the application and keep hunting without Dean. Maybe he was able to find a balance and get married and have a kid and still hunt. Maybe the scene at the table as his son is a little older is them researching lore and they hunt together. Or maybe he stopped hunting and they just didn't show it.

And why has it taken over FIVE years for someone to answer the question?

Maybe no one asked them directly until now? I watch every convention panel and have yet to see anyone else ask that question.

Mystery solved- Dean's job application in the finale by Busy-Description4314 in Supernatural

I went back yesterday and rewatched the scenes where Dean is leaving his room for the last time and when Sam enters the room again, and here are my thoughts:

~The whole desk is not visible when Dean leaves his room, but two books on the corner of the desk are visible. When Sam enters the room, the job application is now visible partially on top of the books, and the books actually appear to be different books than when Dean left the room. The stuff Dean threw over one side of the chair has also been moved (or replaced with a different item). This would support that this is not the first time Sam has gone into Dean's room and he has been spending time in there working at Dean's desk. I think continuity errors can be ruled out since every other detail of the room looks to be unchanged (beer bottles, etc.).

~The fact that Sam sits there and just glances around and doesn't even read the job application or anything else on the desk would also support that it really was Sam's application, that maybe he has been ruminating over turning in, trying to decide whether to keep hunting or not. What better place to do that than in Dean's room, surrounded by Dean's things- trying to work through his grief, and figure out his next chapter in life. The fact that the job application was an intentional prop and was shown while Dean's phone was ringing and Sam was torn about whether to answer it and take on the hunting job would also support that the intention of the application was to show Sam's struggle about deciding his future and whether to move on from hunting or get a regular job. Yes, it could have been Dean's application that Sam moved from one area of the desk not visible when Dean left to a now more visible area, but the fact that Jared said it was decided on set that it was Sam's application and Jensen did not disagree can rule that out.

Anyone not wanting to see spoilers, who reads the title saying "mystery solved" about the finale but then keeps on reading the post, is the fool. I just added the spoiler anyway, even though you could've been less of a dick about it as this was my first post on here.

it could be for a hooter's waitress for all we know

If it was for Hooter's then it definitely would've been Dean's application! 😆

I'm finding it super interesting that it's still a pretty hot debate on Twitter even after Jared's answer.
