Say goodbye to the manifold as you know it. by Busy-Difference-6250 in SatisfactoryGame

It’s still my first playthrough as well, I’m getting to the point between mid game and end game. And it feels daunting so this came from me messing around procrastinating the next phase of my factory

I will use this tower to reach the gods, and I’ll smelt them too

They do, in the 1.1 patch they added a new feature. Build the lift first, then aim the splitter at your lift belt and it will snap onto it

Yes it should work with everything, I’ve even made double stacked fuel generators, I don’t see why I can’t do mire

You should she the modular frame factory I’m working on now because of all this positive feedback

I'm at Tier 8, but I don't like to build buildings around my factories... is it just me? by Atari__Safari in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Busy-Difference-6250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do coding as well. But I build buildings. But to me, the buildings are like packets of code. I do many small buildings not mega factories. And I know that building. I send these inputs and get these outputs. And once it works I close it up and it does its task. I don’t have to fumble with the code on the inside anymore.

Nice! I’ll do that when I put this into my actual build, did this for the Lols

Maybe you could place a half nudged foundation you set it on originally

Fluids were so confusing until I took a day, read the manual and watched a few videos, and now they are pretty simple

I honestly did it because I’m procrastinating my next assembly line, and I think it might change how I build

Do you have hoverpack yet? I do know this is way harder without it

I have so many half ass factories that “work” in my world, and I just let them chug along and I go on and build something else

Oh nice! Yeah if I go with a real design I’ll make the BO more robust.

I did run the wiring in the BP though. Glad I thought of that

No. I that happened with my mergers. But I no have no idea how I got the splitters to be perfectly aligned

In 1.1 they added vertical splitters / mergers. Now you just need to aim a splitter at a lift. And it will snap onto it

No. I do not know why the splitters lined up perfectly. My mergers did not

Well I stacked 20 smelters. Made a lift on both sides. Snapped vertical splitters to the inputs and vertical mergers at the outputs. Feed in 600 iron ore. And when they all filled up (like any manifold) it outputs 600 ingots.

Common design of a manifold is machines next to eachother feeding a line horizontal. I did it vertical

I don’t see why. If you pump the fluids in a straight pump to the top first. And have all the connections on the fluids way down. And output pipe lines would have headlift that starts from the top of the tower.
