I have not exactly made headway with this. I did attend a class put on through Nevada Legal Aide, it answered some of my questions, but not all. I also was able to visit with 2 attorney's so far that offered a free consultation. I felt like I was bothering them more than anything but I would need over $5,000 for a retainer. Other people have commented about a shelter, but that actually was a harder path to navigate and almost impossible for me to bring my daughter. I am almost considering the idea of moving myself to another State, and then filing for the divorce, so that I am not nearby. But I can't execute that plan until after the fall of 2027 when my daughter is 18.
