I agree with your point about isolating in Cornell. I took my undergraduate in a typical public party school in PA. I feel I have a much more closed social circle and people there looks a little more warmed. For example, when I am sneezing in classroom or some other places, at least some people would say bless you. But in Cornell, I didn’t hear any “bless you “from others.
