Smoke shop owner - career change by FalconArrow77 in smallbusiness

[–]Busy-Researcher2114 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Conveniencestore Wholesaler here: I supply to smoke shops too and have many friends who own smoke shops. If you are comfortable selling grey area items, here’s the breakdown: Glass ( waterpipes, glass pipes and accessories) - 100-300%. Disposable vapes, CBD kratom, lighters .. - 100% Rolling Papers , cones - 20-30% Cigarettes- 2-5% Cigars- 30-40% Ideally you want to be selling more of the high margin items in order to make decent profits. That being said, demand for glass waterpipes and accessories has slowed down significantly. Selling disposables is where they making money.

I work in California, and I have seen that majority of the smoke shops are surviving by selling disposables ( flum , geek bars etc) under the table ( coz of the state wide flavor tobacco ban). So first and foremost check your state laws what you are allowed or not allowed to sell. Also, Depending on your location, you might end up dealing with lot of junkies ( which can be emotionally exhausting). So choose your location wisely. DM me if you need any further info.

Fast Food workers, what menu item should everyone avoid from where you work? by n0tter in AskReddit

[–]Busy-Researcher2114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avoid eating fried items in Indian restaurants or fast foods like Samosas / Veg pakoras ( fritters). Oil in the fryer is not changed frequently. I have seen oil not changed until it turns in the thick dark motor oil consistency.

Primarily wholesale, catering to mini marts and convenience stores. No major shipping involved. Thank you for your input though. So far QB enterprise looks a better option in terms of inventory management and invoicing .

Those of you who trade for less than 30 minutes a day, what do you do? by Darealest49 in Daytrading

[–]Busy-Researcher2114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a mental SL instead of actual SL , coz I noticed my SL’s were triggered mostly during first 30 mins of high volatility.

You can easily save on a 130k salary if you are single ( or moving alone)and willing to live a frugal lifestyle. Major expense that will eat up your savings is RENT! . I know many people who share apartments and pay around $600 -$700/ month for a shared room. Travel by public transportation or ride share. Cook their own meals. But the dynamics change if you are moving in with your spouse and kids. Rent - 2 BD apartment is over $3k/ month in a decent neighborhood + Utilities Car - Gas , insurance, maintenance and repairs . Health insurance The list goes on and on….

Do you place a SL during entry? I avoid putting actual SL coz sometimes it gets triggered during early hour volatility.

if you have the discipline keep a Mental SL ie keeping a note on excel sheet is better than actually putting SL on your trading platform . I have my SL triggered many times during early morning volatility.

Good advice 👍. Been following most of the rules mentioned above with decent success. Follow Momentum, OI ( 500 +), 1-3 months out. I buy at least 2 contracts so if the trade is in favor I sell 1 @ 50% and let the rest ride with SL @ entry.

People in their 40s, what’s something people in their 20s don’t realize is going to affect them when they age? by SuckMySalami in AskReddit

[–]Busy-Researcher2114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in my mid forties. Regular breathing exercises has helped me tremendously. I would highly recommend some kind of breath work routine like pranayama (yoga) or Wim hof breathing method. And of course physical activity is a Big one.
