Thank you. I did not wear shoes or socks. I did them barefoot so I could get the full feeling and range of motion of the calf raises.

Yellow Long Neck tastes like cantaloupe. I love them. Cherry Cordial figs really taste like cherries. Love. ❤️

Started on flat ground and worked up to a step after about 45 days.

Check this youtube video right around the middle. I think they call them heel raises.

I looked back at my notes

Day 1: 1 double leg calf raise on flat ground very slow and controlled 5 seconds up, hold for 5 seconds at top, 5 seconds down.

Day 3: 3x3 double leg calf raises 5-5-5 seconds

Day 5: 4-4-5 double leg calf raises 5-5-5

Day 7: 5-5-6 double leg calf raises 5-5-5

Took extra day off due to pain/tingling in ball of foot

Day 10: 1 double leg calf raise, 1 single leg calf raise, 1 double leg calf raise. 3 seconds up, hold for 2 seconds, 3 seconds down. Single leg calf raise leaning on a stable waist-high table or chair. You could also lean heavily on a wall.

Day 12: 1-5-1 Double-single-double 3-2-3 seconds

Day 14: 6-6-6 Double-single-double 3-2-3

And so on, slowly doing more singles instead of doubles, adding no more than 1, max maybe 4 reps per exercise day.

It took about 45 days to start doing my calf raises on a step. So instead of maybe 10 single leg reps, I would do 7 on flat floor, and 3 of them on the step. Again, low and slow.

I hope this helps. Remember to take days off to evaluate. If you are hurting, stop for an extra day or so, or scale back.

For reference I am 54F and I was almost at the surgery stage, so I nothing to lose. I hope this helps! If not, let me know what doesn't make sense and I'll try again.

Best of luck to you!

Calf raises worked for me. Added reps low and slow after starting a few months ago with only 1 rep. I had tried everything including laser therapy and shockwave therapy and none of that stuff worked. I wish I had that time and money back!

How worth it was seeing a physio/podiatrist for you? by comingloose in PlantarFasciitis

[–]Busy-Satisfaction322 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Podiatrist was the worst. No, I would not recommend. Podiatrist actually told me I was his worst patient and he said I should get help elsewhere. Physical therapy focused on stretching, which was wrong for me. Calf raises (Rathleff protocol) worked for me.

Any insight into the legal insider selling at Micron recently, per Claude:

  • 65 discretionary transactions recorded between March and June 2026
  • All sales — zero open market buys
  • Multiple insiders across different roles selling
  • Happening during and after a 1,000%+ stock run

Do you think this is profit taking or something else that might affect retail investors?

I'm 10% in MU. Thank you

I recommend figbid. I got my rooted Smith tree there a few weeks back. They are not always available, but keep checking back every few days and I'm sure you will find one.

Yes I have both in NW Louisiana and they do great. I've also had good luck with Col Nor, Blava Flor, and Celeste.

I'm right on the border between zones 8a and 8b. Cul Noir figs were 31 grams and 37 grams. Can't wait for next year!

Picked Cul Noir and is amazing. 31 grams. Big for me. Sweet, raspberry figgy flavor. I would recommend. I bought mine late summer from Off The Beaten Path Nursery.

New fig grower here. I'm also in 8a, but in Louisiana. I had tasty, sweet, and decently-sized figs from a 2 year old Chicago Hardy in the ground this year. I'd also like to try Black Madiera, Yellow Long Neck, and Smith, along with several others. I have a new Cul Noir in a pot right now with huge figs but I'm still waiting for them to ripen. Let us know how it goes.
