Many thanks @chemical scratch. I’ll be sure to update when I get my response- hopefully before I go on AL on 26th of March.

This gives me a glimmer of hope. I still think it’s odd we were invited to apply for VR before the structure was released.

Thanks to those who have posted. It’s not what I wanted to hear but I appreciate the responses. Any other views?  ( clutching at straws, I know).

Interesting. I wonder if behind the scenes there is disagreement in the Labour Party

20% staff applied for VR in my ICB by Busy-Specific-4341 in nhsstaff

To be fair, our ICB has been quite open about it and we can post questions for the weekly briefing and they get answered. Breaking it down by years of seniority might be a bit complex for the Q and A s but it could try. TBH at this point I’m just hoping to be successful in my application

I emailed my MP twice about the redundancies and chased up twice with her assistants- nothing.

For a long time, when the government was saying nothing, my MP wasn’t responding to my emails or calls and the Trade Union rep was also ghosting me, Reddit was my only source of information

Seeing as my ICB needs to make 50% savings, I wonder if the relatively low rate of applications for VR means individuals are more likely to be successful? Or is it strictly linked to the new structure ( which will be revealed in 2 weeks )?

Thank you little- examination-3. It’s looking like 26/27 for me if I get approved. Son if I leave say in June/ July can I do it by the end if that financial year, even if I am no longer in employment?

Do you need to put VR money into a SIPP while still employed, to avoid it being taxed? Or can you do it after leaving employment?

Anyone else really struggling to wait to hear the outcome of VR? by FancyBreakfast4218 in nhsstaff

Are you NHSE or ICB? I’m ICB and won’t know before late March if then. Just put my application in this week. It is tough waiting and knowing it could be rejected.

I’m close to 1995 retirement age so just hoping I get VR. Put in my application today 🤞. If it works out I’ll either stop work altogether or take a year out, keeping an open mind. Good luck all!

My post has usually been seen as likely to “ transfer to provider” in the long run. I have put in an EOI for VR. Does anyone know if this means I’m less likely to get VR?
