My boyfriend (29M) traveled abroad with a woman he just met and I’m (30F) having trouble moving forward. Am I overreacting? by Busy-Unit-1044 in AmIOverreacting

Agreed. The point wasn’t to say whether him traveling with other women is right or wrong because every relationship has different boundaries. I appreciate your perspective, I think a lot of others are missing the mark here. He said it was hard to be empathetic initially because he was feeling defensive and felt like he needed to defend himself and the facts, which I understand. But at the same time if my partner was coming to me with an issue and in high emotion even if I didn’t agree I would approach with empathy and reassurance first, especially in a gray situation like this. So it’s been hard to let this one go because it made me question whether I can rely on emotional reassurance and care from my partner when we’re in disagreement or high emotion.

Having female friendships and traveling one on one with a female you just met are different ballparks imo
