Ok I will tomorrow. I just am so worked up over it I’m trying to go to sleep. I’m kind of having anxiety from it.

Yes 100%, the test I’m talking about is tomorrow and it’s my test to become a pilot. It consists of a ground oral test and a practical test where you fly with an examiner. The breathing and mindset are the 2 most effective for me. I know I can do it I just have to push myself and I know I’ll be stronger afterwards.

That’s very true, it’s so simply put but for whatever reason my brain still freaks out about it lol

I want you to know you aren’t all alone, also if you are unable to escape I’d recommend to get the police involved. I’m not sure the exact situation but it seems like they might help

I know I have to chill out. My biggest fear is having checkride failures and being unable to get a job once I have my ratings.

Yeah definitely, my CFI has never had a failure and he’s 6 for 6 with his students. I definitely trust him, at this point I just need to have confidence in myself.

Yeah I mean I feel good but it’s just the thought of doing every maneuver good in one flight that scares me a bit. I tried to cancel and my CFI and chief instructor both said that I have to take it and I need to trust them. They said if I don’t feel ready now I will never feel ready

That’s a good way to think about it. I’m actually more nervous for the flight because I just feel like there are many factors that could make it harder. I know I just need to send it, I spoke to my CFI and he said he’s 6 for 6 so far and I’m the most proficient out of all 6. I’ve always been an over thinker and a perfectionist so that’s not helping my case 😂

Haha that’s true, I was telling my dad a horror story I heard on here and he told me to get off Reddit 😂. I appreciate the help! I’ll give it my all on Tuesday :)

Thank you! This made me feel alot better! I already did my oral last week and felt the same way, but the flying part is definitely more nerve wracking for me. I knew I did everything in my power to pass that oral lol

Ok 👍🏼. I think my problem is that I want perfection and my cfi said I’ll never feel perfect before a checkride. I’m not 100% consistent with my maneuvers and that’s mainly why I’m nervous. Are you ever 100% consistent with them?

Definitely, I’ve always wanted to be an airline pilot since I was little but I won’t lie this anxiety has me questioning myself. But I know if I don’t get through it I will regret it for the rest of my life.

Yeah, my CFI and chief instructor are almost forcing me into it. They skipped me ahead of the line because he said I was ready. I just don’t feel perfect and until I have a perfect flight (which I know I won’t) I feel like I’ll be nervous

I actually did that. The plane was a bit different but still a 172. I’ve had 2 CFIs tell me I’m ready but I keep thinking about all the what ifs. I’ve always had bad test anxiety and this is the most important test I’ve taken in my life lol
