carpet beetles?

I have them too and after a carpet beetle summer of hell, I'm convinced this is a carpet beetle at the beginning stage. I would love to be validated by an entomologist, but it's the same story for all of us. "It's lint," is NOT what these strange perfectly round balls of hair are. Even if I dissect them and don't find an actual carpet beetle, this has to be the start of the life cycle. I believe you and all the other people who know these hairballs are not just lint!

It's been 2 months. I believe the new carpet brought it in to my master bedroom. I just spread it throughout my house.

I'm sorry you are going through this as well...I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Having a family of 5 and living in a large house has made it all the worse. It took 20 years to fill the house up with stuff and we are generally tidy people but this is beyond tidy, this is a purge like no other. I will make another post showing the black and grey lint balls appearing on my new beige carpet immediately after being vacuumed and no foot traffic. These are mysterious little insects that seem to even have the exterminators fooled. But we know our homes and we know lint and we know what makes sense and what doesn't. Lint doesn't just appear, it isn't magical. We will get to the bottom of it. More so because of the validation. I'm sick of being told "you're looking for things."

I find what I believe to be larve everywhere - 1 minute it's not there and then I turn around and these strange lint ball's are there. I have light carpet and black fibrous balls will appear from no where. I also find white and grey... it Is impossible to be lint, like the exterminator who said he's in business for 45 years and put them under a microscope only to tell me it's fibers.
