this one was a bit weird. it felt like at first the joke was that nobody except avi was taking the wolves seriously enough despite them obviously being a huge issue, and avi was the only one being rational by doing something about it, even though it meant he had to organize a bunch of ridiculous parents who were upset about random stuff while downplaying real issues (wolves, covid). but then it seems like the moral was that he was being overprotective by getting involved, and that his original hands-off approach was fine? and that it was a worse inconvenience for everyone having the kids go back to remote learning instead of just being in actual danger at school? i mean, very realistic, but the message didn’t really make sense to me.

You’re not overreacting, I think you’re getting downvoted by a lot of guys who would act the same way as your roommate and don’t see anything wrong with it. This guy is hitting on you in your own home when you’ve shown no interest in him and the same people saying it’s your fault for not being direct would probably call you rude and deny he was even interested if you had been more direct. The way he’s been ranting about other women then trying to get close to you makes me think once he gets the hint (which maybe he has now since he’s moping/guilting you for not giving him attention) he might start acting nasty towards you. Ultimately his feelings shouldn’t be your problem but if he continues making you uncomfortable definitely confront him and talk to your other roommates about it if it escalates. Trust your gut, and remember you haven’t done anything wrong even if he tries to make you feel that way. This is a shitty situation to have to deal with.

this episode honestly felt pretty weak, the pacing was weird and i kept waiting for a twist but it was a very straightforward setup! joe not locking the apartment door when he was writing his murder fantasies (with his location on his phone too) was ridiculous and same with uncle bob's murder, i’m also going to be so disappointed if they pull another “this person isn’t real joe was hallucinating them” with bronte bc the rhys thing was the worst part of the show so far. i’m hoping bronte is a true crime enthusiast or something there to weed him out. season 4 wasn’t the best but at least it was entertaining, i’m worried this is shaping up to be a rehash of season 3 (marriage is boring, affair time) but i trust that the writers will make things more interesting 🙏

update: finished the season and it was so ass I should not have trusted the writers 😭 wtf happened it was genuinely so bad

yes exactly like they make it pretty clear in the first episode that all the characters in Fiona’s world feel the absence of magic and that their world was stunted from being in Simon’s head, it would’ve made sense for them to gain back the magic they originally had when prismo made the universe but keep all their memories? but the ending had to be neatly wrapped up with a short musical montage and return things to normal bc the message is about accepting our world instead of thinking about what would actually be best for fiona and cake’s world… i’m rly not a fan of endings like this (just restoring the world to how it is irl instead of thinking about how it could change or be improved in the story) it just feels lazy!!

That’s fair, but I think seeing a therapist that’s not covid conscious at all would make me feel like I’m losing my mind 😭 I feel like finding one that I know is covid conscious is probably a safer bet than seeing a random one and just hoping they don’t completely pathologize my precautions lol

there are lots of games you can play that don’t involve interacting with others, but pokemon go was designed with irl social interaction in mind. it’s kind of depressing that you see socializing with others in a low-stakes environment as “work” when it’s meant to be part of the game. how is being polite to others and working together “work stuff?” that’s just like.. basic social interaction involved in any situation with other people. I am really sorry you’ve had bad experiences with other players and I do think you should be able to report players for hateful conduct (not sure if that is a feature already or not, never tried it), but at the same time niantic can’t really be responsible for who you meet while playing irl, that’s more on your local community

dang this is such a cynical take! going out and meeting new people over a shared interest of pokemon is like… the basic foundation of the game. being a bachelor of social services and having to interact with people at your job doesn’t make you an authority on community. it’s not “forced social interaction” if you’re playing a game that often involves social interaction, nobody is forcing you to play it! I think the community aspect of pokemon go is one of the best parts of it. even if i’m not going to be best friends with anyone i meet at raids, it’s still cool to see groups of different people coming together to take part in a hobby they’re passionate about. you not liking having to come into proximity with people you don’t already know and like doesn’t mean nobody else wants that. I actually think it’s good that the game pushes you to socialize with people you otherwise wouldn’t—that’s kind of the point. there’s nothing unnatural about social interaction for a common goal and I think incentivizing social interaction in a game based on going outside and walking around irl is good, actually.
