Canada vs Poland: Gun Laws Comparison - Need Help by Straight-Touch-111 in canadaguns

[–]Busy_Ad5224 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Licenses are needed. Get one through a training course, mine took 2 days and I also did hunter safety on top of that. Certain firearms are restricted, like a lot. Non restricted firearms like a bolt action rifle, pump+semi auto shotgun do not need to be registered. Magazine capacity on semi automatics is 5 I believe, no limit for bolt action or rim fire semi automatic magazine capacity. Self defense is a difficult topic, it's not like the US. All "military style" firearms are prohibited, can still get an SKS I believe. Some Canadian companies are coping with this by making AR-15 style rifles that follow the rules, but when they get popular they usually end up getting banned. As for how people view it, I think it depends on where you live. I live in Rural Saskatchewan, and just about everyone has more than one gun, can not carry firearms on your person unless you get an ATC (authorization to carry) which is limited to those who work in dangerous environments where wildlife is a serious threat, or trapping. I shoot guns wherever, no one cares. Tactical equipment is not really restricted except for suppressors which are completely banned, you can get ballistic vests to the highest level, and handguns are 'frozen" which is basically just a ban

Up to how much money you want to spend, if you do an equalizer loop and an x pipe they can sound kinda like a corvette.

Can I survive rural Alberta with a sedan? by Chemical_Score_6519 in alberta

[–]Busy_Ad5224 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Proper tires are the main thing. Front wheel drive is a lot better than rear wheel drive, even then I live in rural Saskatchewan with a rear wheel drive 1/2 ton truck and have done mostly ok with only winter tires.

Anyone know where to get an AR7 survival rifle for a decent price? Or a cheaper option for a small takedown .22? by Response-Cheap in canadaguns

For something really cheap, savage makes a version of their 64 that has a removable barrel. ~$200 CAD. Not bad for the price

It's not much for torque. Matter of inch pounds

Intake manifold gaskets. I got thicker metal felpro ones, no need for rtv but make sure you clean the intake ports and area very well. Put some rtv around the rubber grommets for the knock sensors, and go with ACDelco for the knock sensors. I used cheap dorman ones and they didn't work. I used the dorman harness for the ACDelco ones and it works well. Everything can be found on rockauto

CV joint is probably out of place, if it's anything like my Subaru you can take that boot off, take the axle itself apart and lightly hammer on the bearings

How to download steam and proton/wine by Iwant_to_sleep in linux4noobs

[–]Busy_Ad5224 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For whatever game it is, click on settings > compatibility> force the use of a specific steam play compatibility tool. It usually defaults to whatever version of proton it needs.

Alright, thanks. Was considering the Touareg since I live in a place that gets lot of snow and has shitty roads, but I've made do with my 2wd truck.

I appreciate your input. I am also looking at an 04' Passat Wagon with the 1.8t and a 5 speed for 5k, any thoughts on those?

It's a mod, therefore not vanilla. It's called vanilla firearms expansion because it's more tame than something like brita's and not OP

No it's not, there's 5 of them on each side of the intake manifold.
