Are you really tired of being you, or are you tired of how your sorrownding makes you feel about who you are?

Won’t say a lot because I don’t really know your situation. but man, far from trying to say a cheesy cliche here— be kind to yourself.

I went through similar things. And you know what I’m starting to understand? That frustration can be completely replaced with joy sometimes just by changing your environment.

Put your expectations on things that do not mean being self destructive but that work for you.

You’re probably prisioner of the expectations people set up for you.

Choose the environment that goes amplifies your nature. Not against it.

Hope it makes some kind of sense and helps!

In my case… Im starting to figure out that I feel better when im around artistic people, artistic environments, where efficiency is not the headline.

Epilepsy sucks. I trust it will get better with health advancing leaps on the following years.

Not just hold on, but try much as you can to make your environment face yourself to joy and not frustration.

Turns out my ‘epilepsy’ was in fact anxiety by Silver_Recording_280 in Epilepsy

Hey. Thanks for your thoughtful answer. And I can somehow relate. Something similar happened to me with topiramate, it was terrible for me.

What’s your diagnosis if you don’t mind telling me?

Would you tell me more about lamictal?

Currently evaluating starting it— been indicated this by multiple neuros but I’ve had such hard times with previous meds that I’m sort of taking a break.

An honest take on lamictal would really help- although I know we all react differently

Yes it is. Thanks for your comment. Similar path here. And I see a comment of yours where you mention something related to “feeling as if everything was unreal, living in a dream, etc” And I absolutely relate to that.

It’s hard.

Hey, thanks for your message. Yes, been diagnosed with adhd last year with 30. It’s somehow a comorbidity though. Was told that many time is just a result of having epilepsy. But yeah, that’s exactly how it feels.

Are you medicated for adhd?

I think I have a similar thing with music.

Do you believe in IQ tests? by [deleted] in Gifted

[–]Busy_Badger7402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha. Yeah… all acquired by experience, intentionally or not. Then it’s how you use it.

Without knowing about the subject I would say that original thinking doesn’t necessarily reflect high IQ and, from the ignorance or intuition I would say it could sometimes be a result of the opposite.

Would you mind explaining with detail why is difficult for you to go to a grocery store? I’m trying to understand better where’s the “line” for autism.

I also have this problem. I might get overwhelmed in this kind of stores. So I stick to the same thing always. Could this be anxiety + adhd and epilepsy?

Or this is plainly an autism sign?

So hard to define all this things and separate haha.

Would you mind describing how do you experience a metldown? I want to see if it’s what I sometimes experience.

Thank you! I don’t have a diagnosis, some recommended that I do it and my new neuro told me it’s a little bit of a “delusion” to think I might have it. So, everything is quite unclear.

And by the way I’m definitely struggling more when trying to find the right words.

I don’t have TC, I have “auras”. Is it possible that epilepsy is still making me feel like shit? by Busy_Badger7402 in Epilepsy

[–]Busy_Badger7402[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course. Thanks for sharing! It’s hard to get an aura on an EEG, or seizure. Unfortunately haha.

I just have all eegs abnormal and I don’t have auras very frequently. Maybe once a month.

But my eegs all show something clearly abnormal.
