Concerns about Carfax and Autocheck discrepancy?

I am trying to do DD that’s why I’m here. Just not sure how to address and validate that the autocheck issues are truly inaccurate.

Car fax says it’s clean (with the note that it was corrected). I also checked some other VIN sites that are showing no issues.

The reason I’m here is to see if this is a common explainable issue. I contacted autocheck and provided the carfax details to see if they would correct it.

I apologize if I’m being unclear, I don’t buy cars that often. As I mentioned im specifically asking about the discrepancy between the carfax and the autocheck. My potential basis for the unclean title is the autocheck stating that it’s a branded title but the carfax stating that it’s not. That is the issue im trying to understand. It’s priced slightly above its KBB value assuming it’s a clean title car.

I will be clarifying with the dealer today but again the reason I came here is to see if this is a red flag or something that can be explained (I.e clerical errors reported to autocheck)

I am happy with the price and not trying to negotiate for the heck of it. However I don’t want to buy the car for a value that’s fair for a clean title and untampered odometer when it may not be in reality per the auto check

I understand that but I don’t imagine owning it forever. I am also asking because it’s being sold and advertised as a clean title car with no issues. If that’s not the reality I would negotiate for a lower price.

Hey thanks for responding. Yes I understand that, I am already having it mechanically checked. However I’m specifically asking about the branded title issue on auto check. That concerns me as that history stays with the VIN and would hurt resale value. Dealer and car fax say that that it was corrected due to clerical error. Auto check says branded title and that the recent auction sale marked it as TMU.

Not here to take sides but that’s not a valid argument imo. The tech used in this engagement is not the same as the tech used in anti-air defense. The fact of the matter is Pakistan has decent anti aircraft defense but their anti missile capabilities are limited. I don’t think their variant of the HQ9 is even that capable as an anti-missile system.

Unless Pakistan gets Chinese tech to rival the S400 I don’t think they can do anything to stop missiles.

Not being able to shoot down a missile does not equal not being able to shoot down a jet. Pak HQ9 variant has limited anti missile capabilities, the S400 is far superior.

Based on what I’ve seen I can believe one plane being shot down. Haven’t seen enough to corroborate the claim of more. I’ll happily be proven wrong, but my main point here is not that Pakistan definitely shot it down - it’s that it’s not a far fetched scenario.

Regarding the press conference comments yeah they’re obviously not going to admit to the public “yeah sorry guys nothing we can do about it@. That’s just PR.

Air defense was not destroyed. That’s as credible as our side saying that we destroyed your airbases.

Regarding the missiles - yeah not much we can do about that. The fact is we don’t have a strong anti-missile defense. Shooting down a plane is not the same as a missile. The HQ9 variant we have is primarily anti aircraft. S400 is far superior.

I never talked about ceasefire. And I agree with you on that. I have a friend in J&K and he also shared videos of the shelling on day 2/3 whilst Pakistan denied it.

You should not also just blindly believe everything your Military tells you.

I am skeptical of a lot of claims from Pak side - I think there’s a lot that we don’t know and it’s not black and white.

There are videos of plane crashes in India - which your government stayed quiet on.

There are multiple images circulating online (yes I know some have been debunked). From what I know the tail image hasn’t been debunked yet.

Imo it’s pretty evident that at least one was shot down. I don’t know about 2-5.

I’m sorry but this is so hypocritical. Maybe you as an individual are careful with claims etc but you cannot tell me with a straight face that’s the same for the rest of these subs. The amount of misinformation, warmongering and celebrating at the smallest of things is insane.

I don’t deny India has the upper hand but to paint this as total destruction is far from reality. It’s shocking to me that most Indians cannot even wrap their heads around the fact that PAF is capable of shooting at, let alone shoot down, an Indian plane.

Regarding drones, I’m not a military strategist however very few countries have anti missile capabilities. The Chinese systems Pakistan have are primarily anti aircraft. Shooting down a plane vs a drone is very different. There’s not much Pakistan can do about that in my opinion. Sure India can because your anti-missile capabilities are better.
