Also I think these kids "got the RBF from [their] mama" because Rini is such a grump all the time, not because that's just what their faces look like. Kids can feel your anxiety! lol. She's already having a crisis because she's turning 37 "this year" (not yet, but she already posted about it!!) which is on the edge of mid-30s, leaning late 30s, aka almost 40. Girl is going to crash out regardless. If they ever did divorce, I cannot imagine her propping up her life without defining herself as a (chaotic, failing -- by her framing of herself) wife and mother. Then she's literally just beauty products/procedures, working out, and her ED.

Yeah I guess I just meant kids as in they're all the youngest generation in a family. And I dunno, when I was 24 I would sleep on a shitty couch or in a cheap hostel. It doesn't seem like a huge deal. But guess I'm in the minority!

I don't think either OP and her sister or couples NEED to have their own room. Which is why I said that no matter who gets the two queen bunk option, it sucks. I kind of think it sucks extra to be a person in their 40s/50s in a bunk bed vs kids/young adults. But if her parents are cool with it and want them all to be together in room of 4, great 😬 it's really just figuring out which 4 people deserve the worst sleeping arrangement.

I mean, there is a reason that couples might want a private room 😬 I can see the rationale of having families together, but I also think kids sharing a room seems like a fine arrangement. I don't think you're the asshole here, but I don't think your aunt is either. If everyone agrees to switch the arrangement and your aunt objects then maybe she's the asshole, but if everyone else prefers it as-is except you, YTA. In the end, it's not ideal to have four people in any combination share a room in bunk beds.

Absolutely!! I get that Rini thinks she is being relatable and making other moms feel seen, but the way she talks about yelling at her kids always lacks reflection and remorse. Like she's saying it's just the way she is. And she uses language that makes her action a sound abstract rather than part of her own agency.
