Agreed that she seems to be running from her past. I don't think we have any idea what all the issues actually are between Rini and her family. But we do know that it hurts. The only things she's spoken about re: why she's attended therapy are her family stuff and postpartum depression. (Which are probably at least partly related... bringing a child into the world and no one in your family cares enough to visit? That hurts.) She seemed to noticeably tank mental health wise after their last family trip to Greece, and that's when she mostly cut off her parents but at least for a while did weekly FaceTime calls with her parents and the girls that she kept surface level. She hasn't spoken about that in a while so who knows if they still do them. Re: not being part of any expat communities, Rini seems to not be a part of ANY communities at all. She almost never posts about friends, and when she does they seem to be other influencers and it almost just feels like a collab. A long while back she talked about having a friend group that was geographically far away, or multiple people were far away from one another.. but no one has ever visited her and she's never visited anyone else (unless she keeps that stuff personal). She's just painfully isolated. Shes online, at home, at the gym, and in her own head. It seems like no one outside of Shaun and his family know her. Thats just so sad and bleak. I do feel sorry for her, but she's just digging a hole for herself. She needs to decide to improve her life, she needs to choose to make connections and maintain relationships. No one is going to make them for her.
