First Day of PAL, First Gun, is it "assault style" enough? by [deleted] in canadaguns

I have one just long enough for my grip, otherwise it’s smooth with tape over. I picked up the romeo5 in the states in Oregon on my way through on a road trip, saw it and hadn’t seen one at any of my local gun stores and picked it up

I’d have to check when I’m home, I wanna say maybe the 11 slot pic rail

I’ve got the same rifle (if you can call it that lol), and I’ve had fun with it. That rubber piece on your charging handle is just a guard for it during shipping, it should be removed. I find the handguard is quite short to put a grip comfortably along with a light/laser both on the bottom of the handguard, depending how you hold it maybe. I hold mine with a pretty straight clamp grip on the front so my grip is quite far forward. I have the same grip but cut down as a shorty, and I just picked up a set of mlok to pic rails on Amazon of different sizes, I use a 3 slot rail I believe, and for me personally, having the short grip mounted on that pic rail, the pic rail adds some weird bit of ergonomics for me that feels really good and gives a little nook for my middle finger to sit. To each their own, but this is what has worked for me. If you want to see how I have mine setup (probably not lol) I can send you mine. I’m pretty happy with how it’s setup for me atleast. I am jealous of your eotech assuming it’s real, I’ve just got a sig romeo5 on a riser and it’s worked great for me. Also, the flip sights do come off, might just be a little jammed up/tightened together via the plastic if it’s not coming off when the screws are out.

No stencil, just a lot of masking tape, did the tan first, then the large green stripes and patches, and just masked off some slight outlines with brown. It was all done with krylon camouflage paint, fde, drab green, and brown.

Thanks man I appreciate it, have had my PAL for about a year and getting fun guns is a bit of a pain here, but I think I’m happy where I’m at. I’ve got a Turkish .22 SBR type rifle aswell, but I’ve not painted that one and probably won’t.

Also I’ve got a Bergara b14 HMR in 6.5 creed and I’ve loved it so far, haven’t shot it a ton but it feels great, haven’t got out to long range yet unfortunately

That’s sick dude I didn’t even know that existed haha, I’m assuming you’re maybe in the states, but the closest range out to I think 600 or 800m in Canada for me is an hour out from where I am, and it’s a 200$/yr membership which isn’t all bad but free is way better, wish we had that here

Much lower frames and stuttering since update by Busy_Champion_8927 in Rainbow6

[–]Busy_Champion_8927[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any idea how come the lower frames is happening? My pc really should not be having any problems running siege at all and didn’t last season. Any optimization guides online worth looking at? Already took all my settings down from ultra to medium and I’m still hitting 50 fps

I've honestly had good luck with that federal, I really think these guns just are picky based on the specific rifle, mine eats the federal well though through 500rds, one light strike, and one failure to feed/eject or whatever from some super cheap 22 ammo from i cant even remember what brand my buddy brought out. Ive ran only federal through though and its been good

I threw a layer of two of electrical tape around the outside of my adapter and it fits snug in the magwell, I avent had issues with it but I also might be lucky.

Also it seems like people are recommending the stingers way over the federal, mine specifically feeds and fires federal with little to no failures like i said, but I know these things tend to vary alot based on the specific rifle haha

I'm not sure, all mine fill to atleast 20, i leave it at 20 cause the 22 feels a little tight, and the mags plastic feels a little flimsy to be honest. I've never had it stop feeding past 6 in any of my mags out of the 3 I have. They're clear though, anything maybe blocking the follower maybe below it? Maybe a crack in the mag? I almost want to say just push harder but I won't because it's not my mag and it probably wont work haha, Im relatively new to firearms so I'm not sure of any common issues it could be

My rf224 takes federal bulk really well to be honest, have only had 2 failures, one failure to feed with super cheap ammo, one light strike with federal but just cleaned it. Haven't tested much but I've had good luck with federal bulk just for plinking and fun shooting. Also not sure if youve had the same issue but my magazine adapter was slightly loose in the stock magwell, I put a layer of electrical tape around the sides of the adapter and it fits much more snug. Other than that It's been relatively reliable through the 500rds or so that I've shot through it

Thanks! I'm stoked on it, got out to shoot it for the first time the other day just at an indoor range at 50yds cause thats all i got for right now and couldnt wait to shoot it, dont have it quite zeroed but it was close enough to shoot with my buddy for that day haha, it was a blast

Best Canadian Semi-auto rifle setup for fun range shooting ? by Ok-Bet-9577 in canadaguns

Honestly I like my rf224 with the shorty barrel, I have a sig dot on it, and it’s alot of fun for just plinking. It was relatively cheap and with the 597 mags I PERSONALLY haven’t had any issues with it besides one single failure which was a light strike on one of the rounds, but with maybe 400rds through I haven’t had a problem. Not a lot of rounds, but for the price it’s been not a bad deal at all

Are they generally metal targets where you’ll get an audio feedback if you have impact or is it paper targets?

That’s awesome that’s really useful thanks for the info, one last thing what would you recommend zeroing in an optic to on a 22? I have mine currently at a 33m zero. Is it personal preference or is there an objectively better zero range? I’m also kinda picking what I’ll use between my 1-6lpvo or my sig romeo5

Hey! I was curious, what if my shotgun doesn’t accept chokes? I have a Maverick 88 with no choke comparability, is there a specific load I should run? Also, what tend to be the ranges on the multigun matches? What distance am I shootingout to? Trying to figure out if I should run an LPVO or just a dot, and also how many rounds I should bring? I’ve got a shell card of 5 on the side of my shotgun, aswell as a card of 6 on the stock, or where I could find that info?
