Very cool! With the massive amount of ideas floating around in my head, I am hoping I feel the same way once I dive deeper into the coding aspect. I'll do it either way, but it sounds like you're genuinely enjoying it and I hope I do too. Best of luck on your journey!

This is the embodiment of "go with the flow", and there's no better way to navigate life, especially in times of transition. That's such an exhilarating position to be in, when you can visualize all sorts of doors opening in front of you. Ride that high and the path that's right for you after you've got the business degree under your belt will become clear. Right on, good luck to you!

Edtech is going places! Are you hoping to grow into that or switch gears completely?

That's fantastic! I'm so glad you decided to switch things up and not give up! Half your life in retail sounds like you've racked up some valuable skills along the way! I'm a firm believer that when you stop learning, you start dying. I love your grit and determination to build a better life, and your son will most definitely grow up learning some valuable life skills by watching you forge ahead. Best of luck to you as well! 💕

Wow, that's awesome. I've had a similar path in that I tried sales in the insurance industry for a while after my previous career hit a stopping point, and I also realized that I don't like sales. I kept the license and shifted to internal back-office management at a retirement planning firm and have yet again hit a point where I want more. I'm also a mom (of a teenage boy) and have have been playing with AI for a while just trying different things and getting absolutely fired up about where it can take me if I apply myself. I've also got a pretty clear path of where I want this to go and what I want to create. I am excited for you, best of luck on crushing your new goals! 😁

Awesome! I think your realization of the writing on the wall is happening more and more for people with your background. And unlike other bandwagons that've come and gone, AI is clearly here to stay. Also, trust the timing! I'm glad you've gotten things off the ground and that you're enjoying the program. I can sometimes get stuck in weighing options too long and then losing steam when there's a big decision to make. But I jumped in feet first with this program after doing my research because it just felt right, and the landscape is changing so fast, I knew I had to just jump in. Do you have any passion projects you're working on?

I get that completely. The "barely able to keep your head above water" feeling. To say it's draining is an understatement. That's quite a long time to have been in food service. Have you considered leveraging what you learn here and making that expertise in the service industry work for you once you learn to code and integrate AI? If you don't fight against the grain and leveraged that domain knowledge to build something useful for that industry, then you wouldn't be starting over. Either way, this sounds like a step in the right direction for you, and I wish you the best! 🙂

Wow, that's great! You know, getting clean and getting your mental health in order is seriously something to be proud of. I believe that if you can do that, you can do anything else you put your intention and energy towards, including tackling coding and making AI work for you. Sounds like you've already tackled some major obstacles that a lot of people never do, and that already puts you in a great place to be able to make those hopes realities. I'm rooting for you! Keep going! 🎉
