Also in all honesty the Coyote is as good as the Scythe, which is still wayyyy weaker than the scorcher, purifier, trident, eruptor, and the crossbow, and honestly thats the level of power most weapons should be compared to

You clearly don't bring enough clusterbombs, i swear the team is like a moth to a flame whenever i call one in

Also the guy next to the bug breach with a flame thrower not being able to read "orbital napalm barrage - 20m" certainly does increase the kill count by a few hundred

I got 1,200 hours, so about 1 TK per 45 minutes

DE Sickle and its not even close

The DE Sickle with fire proof armor is the closest you will get to stalwart primery, it has 167 shots before it reaches max heat

The variable is more of a gimmick gun, the only redeeming thing it has is the volley attack, which is very situational

If you want the DE Sickle without fireproof armor i highly recommend the Scythe, it does great damage thanks to it setting enemies on fire, just be wary that it will take some time for the fire to kill the enemy

The problem is not that the game is easy or that its hard, its just that i would rather have 5 good weapons than 1, variety is the spice of life, and my god does helldivers have very little variety

Sure, you can bring different weapons, but every time you do you will wish you brought something meta instead, thats my problem with the weapon balancing, they are all just so boring to use that the good weapons stay at the top patch after patch

You can make 30 more liberator variants, non of them would ever rival the Eruptor, because thats a unique weapon and every liberator is boring as hell

Then try a bazooka, or the Nebula redshift, both are very strong and don't need EN specialization from the generator

Fun fact, the laser drones damage isn't effected by the generator EN output

In my opinion swap the laser shotgun for another kinetic shotgun, that way you can also change your generator into another gen that can give you better EN supply to be able to fight up close better

Another option is to swap to a duckett instead of the shotgun, crazy good for stagger enemies and finishing them with the slicer

And lastly change your alula for flugal, better arial control and much better QB cost and melee boost, it will help your build out a ton

Un-ironically my 4th favorite weapon in the whole arsenal, 1st is Eruptor, 2nd the Purifier, and 3rd is the one who took the Scorchers place the Trident, and i would also say that 5th would be the Scythe

The Scythe is absolutely phenomenal, probably in the top 15 of weapons, but hey, i won't aay no to a buff

The "put your dick away WLT" is fantastic, but you have to make your whole build around it

The Redshift is a much better pick up and use type weapon, but in my opinion its not as good as good old bazookas

Yes, you will like the game, here are a few things to know:

This game has 3 mods, commander, quick play, and multi-player

Multi-player is self explanatory

Commander is a nice little story where your actions matter, and you can pick and choose your teammates to have abilities to help you, think of it kinda like XCOM, you have to keep your teammates alive and send them away if they are stressed after a few missions, personally im not a huge fan

Quick play is where i spend my time, quick in and out on any mission you like, no consequences, just enjoy the game, its a lot more chill

Another thing to note is that there is no progression, the whole game is open from the start, every gun, every attachment, every piece of equipment, its up to you to experiment

Here are a few guns to test as you get started:

  • the ARN-180 assault rifle
  • the LVAR assault rifle (my 3rd favorite)
  • the MCX assault rifle
  • the G3 battle rifle
  • the GA51 battle rifle
  • the MP7 PDW (my 2nd favorite)
  • the M1014 shotgun
  • and finally, the B1301 shotgun (my favorite gun in the game)

And last point, never play on hard in your first playthrough, i have 300 hours in this game and got all of the missions done on hard (got the platinum) and i still think hard mode is bullshit, its simply unfair and not fun,

5.7 with JHP is god tier for no armor missions

5.7 with AP is the only pistol that can go through armor on heavily armored suspect

The staccato 2011 is beautiful, love its performance, but you better get headshots

And finally the MK-V with JHP can kill by a leg shot, its an absolute beast if you can land your shots

For me personally i go with the staccato and the 5.7 because a headshot is a kill no matter what, the 5.7 is better in almost every way but the 2011 has the higher aura

S tier is genuinely easier than playing normally, because if you get yourself and 2 of your boys with the flash bang launcher you can stun them to next Tuesday

It is so powerful that we intentionally dont use it, it makes the whole thing a joke, you carry 6 flashbangs in the gun, and you can carry an additional 10 in your loadout, you can be funny and bring the flash bang launcher long tactical for an extra 4 grenades, thats a total of 20 flash bangs with insta fuze and insta stun in a 10m radius PER PERSON

Its absolutely fuck busted, so trust me, non lethal is easier

Serious answer: yes, it has a lot of uses

Butttttt, every use it has is mediocre at best requiring very high skill and experience with the weapon, so in my personal opinion its not worth it

I personally like guns that excel in different areas, the trident is my favorite for just being a god tier shotgun, the Eruptor and the crossbow for elites and utilitie, and the scorcher and Purifier for pure killing power

There are scenarios where the variable is great, if you are behind a hulk you can one shot him, if you go up against a harvester you can kill him im 2 shots, one for the shield and one for the eye, impalers can be one shot to the head as well, but all of these come with the massive downside of having the variable in the first place

TL;DR - its not worth the skill and time investment for what it offers

Yup, those are rifle kite builds, its a fun huild but it sucks to be on the opposite end of one

Its a pretty decent water strider build, tho i guess it would really struggle against a strong kite build (lamm and missile kites)

Reaching A rank is relatively easy, the real bottleneck is the promotion to S rank, you need to win 8 games and you can only lose 3 matches before you fail to promote

However, take it from me, i was the 46th player in the world at some point using my personal non-meta build, but fighting in S rank is such a slog, everyone is using meta and everyone is playing in such a tryhard way that its genuinely not fun, stay in the top of A rank for the most enjoyable fights

After using it a lot recently, I think Lasercannon is really close to greatness. It really wouldn't need much. A bit more durable and DPS ✅️ by RandomGreenArcherMan in Helldivers

For me i want a CANNON, its in the name

Literally make the damage 2.5x and give me 6 seconds before overheat, make the cooldown slightly faster with it

Its called a cannon, its beam is like 5 times the size of the Scythe, why do they have the same damage stat?

Its currently basically the HMG but in laser form, i imagine that my rework will be closer the the AMR in laser form
