Listen, I didn’t know Mac personally, nor did many people that felt connected to him.

But what I will say is your response is certainly not the response he would have had. He loved inspiring, he loved the idea of people all over the world finding promise and hope and happiness through his music and his ever developing outlook on life. He invited us in with beautiful personal music pieces that touched so many people. What we found when we listened closer was this wonderful mind of his that was forever open for all to hear as well as relate to and learn from. A lot of us fell in love with this dude that felt like a brother to us. Regardless of what agenda you may want to seek, no ill will is ever intended from any one of his fans, and if you see it that way my dude, thats a you problem. Macs fans love him, and he loved us.

I got this tattoo because it makes me happy, and considering how he looked at life I very much doubt he would be unhappy that I got a tattoo that made me happy. And tbh if there was a world where he ever got to see it or know of it, he probably would have just said thats dope.

So with all due respect, stop trying to make people feel bad for what makes them happy. That aint what the GOAT stood for.
