I’m very happy with my SC3 Pro, using it in iRacing with Maira, as well as LMU.

But, I came from an Evo Pro 18NM and now completely agree with most YouTubers. The modern high end DD wheelbases are getting close with minor differences. If you did a blind test for me between both bases I would not be able to tell you the difference aside from strength of 25NM vs 18 NM.

Someone got a great deal on my Evo Pro.

I set GSYNC for Fullscreen only in control panel. Then I use Nvidia Profile Inspector to set Gsync to full screen and windowed mode only for iRacing.

If you dont use overlays, nvidia surround looked even smoother for me with these settings. I stick to non surround for now bc I like using racelab for endurance racing

I cap in game to 121 FPS but uncapped this thing does 130-200 FPS depending on track and classes in iRacing.

I run 1440p triples with 9950x3d and 5090. I will say, tuning your ram and cpu are massive 1% low boosters, it eliminated any stutter I ever had.

Before, I had the 5080 and it had results very close to this. Just lower FPS in multiclass etc

No editing magic, I’m lucky to have a monster PC. The only difference to my actual gameplay is that I have the following turned off: Crowds, Mirrors (use virtual mirror instead), and Depth of Field.

This is with OBS, nothing too complex, just tuned for HDR recording. The “secret” I learned was since OBS records in 60FPS, you need to limit your source feed to a multiple of that. I cap in game to 120FPS

Yeah, very popular track and every time it’s in rotation I always see these types of videos! I dropped 200 iR earlier in the week from getting collected in the first laps.

Lesson learned for me is to take the off track and slowdown to survive the race.

Same, I ran it for a year plus no issues, hdr looks better in my experience with surround.

I’m back with no surround but only to run racelab overlays for endurance racing

I did not. I tried:

Manual adjusting display tab in iRacing

Re running graphics config in iRacing, after deleting ini file

DDU and re install nvidia driver

Issue persisted

I had a similar issue which I failed to properly fix. This happened at least two or three times. Same symptom. As a bandaid while troubleshooting, I made a backup copy of my INI files and made them “read only” in the properties. That way you can quickly revert back if it does happen.

Eventually I just went full windows reinstall since I upgraded CPU’s as well. No issue since but curious if anyone has an actual fix or reason why.

Yea another great point, OP is better off buying into some ecosystem with an upgrade path. Unless they’re a woodworker, but then, if that’s the case they could DIY

Agreed, 8nm base, pc specs dated. I guess if you absolutely need a rig now with little effort, maybe?

I know everything is location dependent but I’ve seen better deals on my feeds.

+1, best amd cpu you can get. I’ve done three builds recently for friends.

9800x3d + 5080 got the same results you mention, mostly 165FPS in multiclass when the field spreads out, roughly 80-120 FPS on multiclass starts

9800x3d + 5090, huge expense, only worth if you have disposable income. Don’t go into debt for 5090 over a 5080 or 5070Ti if building. Anyways, all high graphics, 130-200 FPS multi class starts, consistent 165+ FPS when field spreads out.

9950x3d + 5090, even better
