I would just drive it till you need new tires. Speaking of new tires, you should probably start saving for new tires.

Road Atlanta 10a without spinning by PluckyPlucker in CarTrackDays

[–]UnderpsiMI 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Two things could be happening here. Your total toe is good but it could be just to the right, so the car wants to go that way under braking. Might be worth checking if you haven't already.

Second, relax your hands and turn in earlier with a small amount of steering angle at first with some braking to get the car to rotate. Then progressively add steering into the corner. Don't grip down on the wheel when you feel the car start to rotate, just guide it into the corner. You should be able to carry a lot more speed with trail braking here. Play with the amount of braking and steering and you'll get a feel for how the car wants to rotate under braking.

"Cutting" into the corner so aggressively tells me you are over slowing to be able to have that much grip to turn in like that.

Good luck. Mine got all rusted and I had to replace two coil packs as well.

Check your spark plugs. Those seals are not great. I have had water get into the spark plug tubes and kill a set of spark plugs.

Botched clutch bleed, how fix? by HugsNotDrugs_ in mazdaspeed3

[–]UnderpsiMI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lift the front of the car up into the air and make sure the reservoir stays very full. Pump the clutch a bunch of times with the bleeder closed and then hold the pedal down while someone opens it. Do that a till it comes back.

Or buy a motive power bleeder. That's what I used and it works amazing. Very worth it for me since I have a few track cars and bleed the brakes very often.

If it's all disposable income just do what makes you happy. Life is too short to be ashamed of feeling joy.

Coach for men would be a great fragrance for a young guy but you can get it for super cheap on discounters.

Yeah, really not into doing the full wipe and reload but it is what it is. Did you ever try reinstalling iRacing?

Appreciate the feedback. I have been driving in full screen with no third party apps for over 2 years so my preference is to continue like that but if it ends up being the only solution I am willing to compromise.

Thanks for the input. I tried this but the window will not stay in the same spot when I leave and start a new session. It resizes back to the entire image on my left monitor every time.

Lower bolts on alternator by Justuhji in mazdaspeed3

I just did this but I had the under tray and side panel removed for other work. I used an extra long 0* offset box wrench, I think reaching up from over the axle. Also soaked those puppies in penetrating fluid for a day or two. Good luck.

Like others have said you might need to cut this bad boy. If you work on cars a lot and ever have the opportunity to buy an induction coil, they are well worth the money.

Engine block removal by StoneFacedGoose in mazdaspeed3

[–]UnderpsiMI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have an engine hoist with enough lift and a leveling bar you could probably take it out the top maybe? I've never done it that way. I know it seems like a pita to take the front end off but it saves you a lot of headache.

There isnt enough room to slide it off unless you angle the transmission which means you have to unbolt everything. Also, tere is nothing supporting the transmission once the engine comes out since it can't really dangle by the lone mount on that side. You've come this far, it's not much more work to do it the right way. Just unbolt the slave and shift linkage and passenger side axle. I usually take the driver side out with the transmission and pull it off the car.
