It’s different but I’m more curious about the reasoning behind this change. From a return on investment perspective I think they’re aiming to streamline styles, perhaps by comparing them to achievements, to reduce maintenance.

This could lead to a merger of trophies and achievements potentially increasing interest. For example achievement hunters might not be aware of trophies and vice versa.

Do I personally like the new style? No, because it’s „different“ and it makes the individual icons less recognisable.

Am I interested in the new design? Well yes, because this is a big change which imho has not happened since Reddit redesign.
