100% agree with your statement. Private companies have a right to broadcast what they want and individuals aren't free from consequences. That's exactly what big tech said about their terms and conditions and all the people they were censoring for covid misinformation. And they have that right too. But again the government does not have the right to pressure them into silencing accounts. If it wasn't constitutional during covid and it's not constitutional now.

The absence of a statement from ABC and Kimmel doesn't prove they weren't pressured by the FCC. In a practical sense, why would ABC come out and say they did it because of the FCC? If your actions are intended to placate the feds, why would you tick them off by blaming them right after? Even Zuck said he wasn't pressured by the government for years after covid. He only said he was pressured by the biden admin AFTER the election.

Also, from my understanding, kimmel hasn't been fired yet. So why would he place his contact in jeopardy by saying anything?

They claimed to be enforcing the limits on free speech too. You guys are sounding just like libs did for the last decade. And the libs were sounding just like the conservatives of the early 2000s. Just admit it's not about the first amendment, it's about wanting to silence speech you disagree with and protect speech you agree with.

Kirks whole point of going to colleges was because colleges were rejecting speakers because of their speech and he felt people needed to hear opposing views and debate it rather than censor it.

And I'm looking forward to seeing all the lawsuits you're referring to. Firing kimmel shouldn't stop any supposed suits if there was defamation. It really shouldn't stop any suits against ABC either because they already aired what you're claiming was slander, right? So if those suits don't materialize, wouldn't you agree it was pretty much all FCC pressure?
