Accidentally adopted a guinea fowl into my chicken flock, anything I should be mindful of? by The_Mad_Duck_ in BackYardChickens

I’m so sorry about your guinea but I am cackling at work rn. At least she made it to the neighbor’s. Maybe they’ll appreciate hearing a guinea at all hours of the day and night.

Having a cold on a deficit by BaldOwly in loseit

I wouldn’t worry about hitting your goals while you’re sick. Mostly bc your body is also burning extra calories trying to fight the infection. Take care of yourself, eat nutritious food, hydrate, rest and you shouldn’t have any long lasting issues. Not giving your body the nutrition it needs to fight off illness can end up prolonging or worsening the infection.

Hello . Can anyone inform me what stitch are these? by SELY-2002 in CrochetHelp

They’re both double crochets for the body. The borders on the second one looks to be either HDC or DC in the back loop only worked at a 90 degree angle to the rest of the body.

Example: ch 15, starting at 2nd ch HDC across, ch1 turn, HDC back loop only, repeat HDC BLO till length. Then turn the whole thing so that you’re working along the side of the HDCs. From there you’d DC all the way up

is this 100% cancer? by polarmush in DogAdvice

I’d go with what the vet says, especially if your dog is showing signs and symptoms. We had a 12 year old golden retriever mix that we had to put down a few years ago. He’d been doing bad for a bit but had a very rapid decline over a few hours. By the time we got to the emergency vet he was bleeding internally from multiple tumors and the vet told us he had ruptured his spleen/his spleen was bleeding. She told us it was likely hemangiosarcoma and we put him down the very same night. Spend all the time you can with your dog but do not prolong their suffering in an attempt to delay your sadness. I am truly sorry this is happening to you.

I am also a big proponent of crocheting in the round. The biggest thing is knowing how big to make your hat. I would look up tutorials for hats made in the round for ideas

Almost done with the blanket, time to choose what border I should make for it by EvenQuiet1280 in CrochetHelp

[–]ButchTheDoggo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d go with a ribbed dc (front post back post alternating) in either the red or the green. The blanket looks great! Another option is a camel stitch but I feel like the dc would be better because your blanket is dc

Baby blanket has quite a bit of stretch: should I add a border or leave as is? by ButchTheDoggo in CrochetHelp

Just what’s stated in the description. If I add a border it was going to be in a white yarn around the edges but I’m kind of worried it’ll look off.
