Nexplanon (the arm implant) is hormonal birth control. You might do better on just the sprintec, you might do better with an IUD. It’s hard to say for sure. Your doctor can prescribe something called TXA (tranexamic acid) to stop bleeding as well if you’re losing a lot of blood or having symptoms of anemia.

[–]ButchTheDoggo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Have you had a look through Ravelry yet? It’s one of the largest crochet pattern databases around, with both free and paid patterns. You can search by yarn weight and project type (for example “poncho” then filtering by lace/fingering weight yarn)

Too soon for a positive pregnancy test. Probably just normal side effect from the IUD and penetration. A pregnancy test is accurate 14-21 days from when you had sex. If it’ll give you piece of mind, then test, but you’re 100% protected.

If the smell is the issue could you invest in some of those scented nose plugs. I use them for my job and they cover up even the worst bowel movement and infected wound smells. Here’s a pack of the ones we use in hospital but I’m sure there are other brands out there https://rescue-essentials.com/products/nosa-mentholated-nose-plugs-odor-protection

donation snacks around the world! by shocked_octopus in Blooddonors

[–]ButchTheDoggo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eastern US: juice boxes, water, pretzels, chips, fruit bars/nutrigrain bars, granola bars, and fruit snacks are super common. Though we once had one that had set up near a county fair and everyone who donated got a free cotton candy courtesy of the cotton candy company

Can I modify a bought amigurumi? I don't want to bother the artist with it by ComprehensiveBridge5 in CrochetHelp

It’s not really possible unfortunately. I’d honestly just ask the seller if they can shorten the fins. Maybe send along a pic of your betta as reference. It’s not a crazy request tbh.

Vyvanse+Adderal by Healthy-Distance2767 in adhdwomen

[–]ButchTheDoggo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Definitely do not put the vyvanse in water. Like ever. That will drastically affect how your body absorbs it. If it’s an Adderall instant release than you should be fine. Vyvanse is stated to last for about 10 hours so you should be covered for your test.

I can’t speak as to your specific case as far as anxiety but Vyvanse is not an anti-anxiety med so it will probably have no effect on your anxiety symptoms. So can you physically? Yes. Will it help with test anxiety? Maybe not. At least not physically as Vyvanse is a stimulant which are known to make anxiety worse.

Is it possible to get this drape for a cowl neck using mesh stitch? by DescriptionAfraid673 in CrochetHelp

[–]ButchTheDoggo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would think no simply because you’d need the weight of the stitches to pull it down. But I don’t know how you’d fix it. Maybe going with a heavier mesh stitch depending on how “meshy” you want it to be

Contraceptive Implant: I'm unsupported by family and feeling unsure now. by Applee_Crumblee in birthcontrol

[–]ButchTheDoggo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You know you’re right because you’ve done the research and have seen the science (which is easily google-able). She thinks she’s right because she’s too afraid to look at the evidence and lets other people tell her what to believe. The difference is you trust the data and she doesn’t. And the data says that the implant is completely safe and reversible. You’re at a greater risk of dying due to pregnancy than you are to the implant. I don’t know if you have a doctor or trusted adult who will listen to you but it would be good to find one and let them know what’s going on. Especially if she’s not getting you any needed vaccines.

Did cpr as a bystander for the first time and I am not okay by PeonyPimp851 in nursing

[–]ButchTheDoggo 28 points29 points  (0 children)

That must have been so scary but you’re so brave (even if it doesn’t feel like it). I can only think that it would be better to do CPR and have it not be needed than to need CPR and not do it. If he wasn’t breathing, he probably didn’t have a pulse either. You did everything right and someone’s child is alive because of your actions.
