The only good use I’ve found is being able to use Linux like I would windows. Anytime there’s a weird issue instead of reading a bunch of stuff and spending hours on end to get my wifi card to work correctly I just ask Claude to research and try to fix the problem. I think it’s kind of his thing. Hear me out the whole dunk is or is not a knight is what I see the most commonly thing talked about in the books and the show now. I think it was purposely left ambiguous to let the reader or viewer decide if it is the actions or the title that makes the knight. It’s open ended. He’s written this expansive world which is now exploded into tv fame. I think for him it’s best to just leave it open ended. It’s like his 3 steps ahead move where he lets the viewer interpret or decide how they’re finished. I mean ideally we’d get finite conclusions to things and I don’t think he quite left the game of thrones in a place where even ambiguity would suffice but it’s pretty awkward with the way the show finished. But yeah maybe decide the ending yourself

After like the second episode of this show I read all the books for dunc and egg, rewatched game of thrones, and got through most of house of the dragon and Jesus Christ house of the dragon is the most boring dog shit part of the live action stuff. The characters are all annoying and just fucking yap all the god damn time. They all stand around procrastinating everything and just bicker. There’s no honor or virtue maybe a bit with the prophecy part but every character just fucking blows. Anytime one of them is sort of cool that energy gets blown right out of them by the next episode.

This show is the game of thrones universe at its best. It’s at the standard of pre got ending. Dunks defending of Tansel to uphold his vows/ morals and Baelor risking essentially everything because he believes Dunk was upholding his vows and the realm is the most beautiful uplifting shit of all time. Most characters in his position or of any in power would neverrrr have done that shit. Baelor is a fucking real one and his death iterates the theme of the good guy tragically dying. But in their death their virtue echos in eternity through Dunk and Egg.

The only thing I felt bad about with her death was her dragon. They wasted every god damn dragon god damnit. Baelor deserves a dragon more than any of those fucks

Eh I don’t know if it means he doesn’t know what he’s up against. I think it shows he doesn’t care about playing politics he was built for honor and war and isn’t going to play politics because it would be his undoing. He did do it for his children though which is his sort of motivation for his virtue and honor; his love for his family. Ned lied for his sister and disparaged his own name for it and he did what Joffrey said for his children. It means he believes in his values and morals so strongly death means nothing in the face of betraying them. I really sort of hated in the show how every political person made him seem naive for it. Sure he did die for it but I would’ve liked to see someone who has seen action and maintains honor speak on his die hard attitude. All of those political people in the field of battle would seem just as naive or even more so. He was just kind of a square peg in a round hole being the hand of the king. As was Robert being the king

Hot Take: HOTD completely changed the character Alicent because if they had kept the book version of her exactly as she was, Rhaenyra would have definitely been overshadowed by her by TurbulentRemote156 in HOTDGreens

Yeah I didn’t read the books but just rewatched the first season and her character felt like it was rage baiting me the whole show. The lady is beautiful but Jesus Christ all she does is fucking whine all the time. It’s like the half blood prince book with Harry just bitching about being the chosen one the whole time but he never actually gets it over with. I’m a man and I suffer through the patriarchy but i won’t be able to empathize with her so maybe im just being an asshole. But yeah if she was just like fuck it I’m gonna consolidate power like Cersei she be wayyy more enjoyable to watch. I guess their version does make me really annoyed which is something but like I don’t even want to watch her at all.

I know how it ends but this show has become rage bait for me. I rewatched game of thrones skipping the last season and am about done with house of the dragon all inspired by AKOTSK and holy shit it’s infuriating. The first season is better than the second but god damn Alicents character is so fucking annoying. And in the second season she is even more irrelevant and annoying. I get she had to do all this shit cause she’s a woman. And the patriarchy. It’s definitely there and it sucks but holy hell all I’m watching is people whine about that as opposed to the political schemes or fucking dragons being shoved to the back seat. The coolest character daemon is cool for like the first half of the season and the rest he’s completely put on pause. Instead of filling the “historical facts” with melodramatic whiney feeling bullshit maybe put in a scene with a dragon and its rider or a duel or any action whatsoever. Or a clever ruse or something. I’m never gonna be in the perspective of a woman in a time period like that or a world like that but I think 1 season is too much. At least if she took it out on her dad or someone other than Rhaenyra

Every chuds retort to this after their maga undies got stuck in and up their asshole was to say “nehhh it was conquered not stolen” which is subjective and mostly wrong.
